RESERVE ENDS BULLDOGS WIN STREAK

UNITY OH- Western Reserve had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over East Palestine 13-2

Western Reserve got on the board in the first inning when Hannah Heath grounded out, scoring one run.

The Blue Devils scored five runs in the third inning. The rally was led by singles by Allison Jones and Caylee Selley and an error on a ball put in play by Alexa Abrams.

Maggie Byers was in the pitcher’s circle for Western Reserve. The righty lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one.

Gabby Andre toed the rubber for East Palestine. The pitcher allowed seven hits and 11 runs over four innings, striking out six. Anna Yonker threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Western Reserve had ten hits in the game. Jones and Selley all managed multiple hits. Selley and Jones each collected three hits to lead.

Western Reserve stole 11 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Abrams led the way with two.

East Palestine racked up eight hits. Sophia Fertsch and Maddison Foster each racked up multiple hits for East Palestine.
