RESERVE OFFENSE FIRES ON ALL CYLINDERS

Caylee Selley was bad news for opposing pitchers on Wednesday, driving in five on three hits to lead Western Reserve past United 13-3 on Wednesday. Selley drove in runs on a double in the second, a double in the third, and a double in the fourth.

Western Reserve earned the victory despite allowing United to score three runs in the fifth inning. Kassidy Everhart, Sam Lippiat, and Mati Zines each had RBIs in the frame.

The Blue Devils scored four runs in the fourth inning. Ally Jones, Alaina Welsch, and Selley all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Joanie Dagnan earned the victory on the rubber for Western Reserve. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out five and walking one.

Tori Firth took the loss for United. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing 14 hits and 13 runs while striking out three.

Western Reserve totaled 14 hits. Selley, Lindsey Jones, and Welsch each had multiple hits. Jones and Selley each collected three hits to lead.

Madison Boyle led United with two hits in two at bats.
