RESERVE TAMES THE TIGERS IN STRAIGHT SETS

The Western Reserve Blue Devils, dating back to September 20th, have now won 7 consecutive matches while only dropping two sets during the stretch. A red hot Springfield team came to town, with The Tigers emerging victorious in 5 of their last 6 matches. Both teams had double digits in the win column heading into their battle on Tuesday night.

Full of steam in Set 1, The Tigers and Blue Devils battled back and forth till the closing moments of the set. However, it was Western Reserve pulling away late to clinch the 5 point opening set win.

Momentum is something The Blue Devils were determined to hold. Coming out of the gates by locking it down and improving on defense. This time around, Reserve got the set win by double digits over Springfield. Set 3 was much of the same, with Western Reserve managing to win by their biggest margin of the night, 25-10, slowing taming The Tigers throughout the night.

The win gives The Blue Devils 10 conference victories on the season. Western Reserve (15-4) will now host Sebring (8-12) on Thursday, October 6th. Springfield (10-9) will have a tall task ahead of them, hosting Mineral Ridge (17-1) in their final matchup of the year with The Rams.
