RESETAR UNTOUCHABLE AS SPARTANS SHINE
BOARDMAN OH- Boardman blew things open with a monster third inning and cruised past JFK 11-1 on Wednesday.
The Spartans hung a crooked number in the third, dropping seven runs on the Eagles to take full control. Landon Whippo and Mason Nawrocki each came through with two-run singles, Vince Butto followed up with another two-run knock, and Grayson Eicher added one more RBI for good measure. It was hit after hit, and JFK never recovered.
On the mound, Collin Resetar was smooth and steady. He tossed six no-hit innings, allowed just one unearned run, struck out three, and only walked one. A shutdown outing to back up the big bats.
Boardman racked up 10 hits on the day, with Kaden Mayhew, Eicher, and Whippo all picking up two knocks. Eicher drove in three and finished 2-for-3 to pace the offense. JFK managed to turn a double play defensively but couldn’t get much else going. Boardman heads back home Thursday to square off with South Range.
