REVVING UP THE HUTSON

NEWTON FALLS OH- If you want to find a great example of leading by example, you must not look any further than Newton Fall’s senior Bree Hutson. Bree just wants to win. There is not a care in the world about how many points she has or how much recognition she gets. Her first goal this year was to help her team win. Now with that being said, Bree can score, and she can score at a high rate. Hutson scored her 1000th career point early in the season. She had no idea she was going to break it. A lot of players like to have the countdown, and know exactly where they stand, Bree just wanted to help win.

The Tigers have high asperations this season with the seniors they have, including Hutson who have been playing together since elementary school. Bree says the goals are simple, get to a district championship and then put it all on the floor for the win. The Tigers are the three seed in the Division 4 district, and they have a solid chance to make a good tournament run. Bree brings the positive mindset to the youth of the program, as she tries to ensure a strong foundation to keep this program growing. Leading with her work, and letting that show everyone what the standard is.

Bree was kind enough to take some time to join Anthony Hartwig this week to talk about her senior season. They discuss leading by example, her future goals, and much more. Meet a member of the area’s 1000 point club and more importantly a fantastic leader in this Newton Falls girls basketball player profile “Revving Up The Hutson.”
