RIDGE TAKES GIANT FIRST STEP IN MVAC

BERLIN CENTER OH- It’s been a battle between Western Reserve and Mineral Ridge in the MVAC Scarlett tier for the last couple of years. It was all Blue Devils last season as they swept Ridge in all three matchups of the season, and postseason.  On Tuesday night the Rams flipped the script and came out on top in 4 sets. It’s ab early step on their way to contend for another title. (25-12 25-15 16-25 25-16)

Faith Schneider had herself a heck of a day for the Rams leading the way with a game-high 20 kills.  Ava Hullet was also in double figures with 11. Samantha Aulet had a field day setting the ball finishing with 41 assists on the night.  Hullet completed a double double with 22 digs, Gianna Paris also gathered 22 digs for her defense.

Alyvia Hughes put together another fine performance for Reserve. She finished with 16 kills on the night.  Madison Leone led the Blue Devils with 13 assists.  Lisa Eichert served up 3 aces.

Mineral Ridge stays on the road on Thursday as they travel to Jackson Milton.  The Blue Devils will also be on the road Thursday as they travel to Waterloo.
