ROCKETS TURN ON THE AFTERBURNERS

Ten runs in the second inning led Lowellville past Memorial 13-1 on Monday. Rockets batters contributing to the big inning included KC Kelly, Callie Kester, Marissa Rivera, Angie Marsh, Mykenzie Rotunno, and Sammie Kelly, all driving in runs in the frame.

Lowellville fired up the offense in the first inning. Kester drove in one when Kester doubled.

The Rockets scored ten runs in the second inning. Their offense in the inning was led by Kelly, Kester, Rivera, Marsh, Rotunno, and Kelly, all driving in runs in the inning.

Kelly was the winning pitcher the Rockets. The righty surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Adrianna Candella took the loss for Memorial. The pitcher surrendered five runs on one hit over two and two-thirds innings.
