ROTH BLANKS WHITING IN 16U ACTION

STRUTHERS, OH- Roth Brothers two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Roth defeated Whiting 10-0 on Friday. AJ Patellis struck out Caleb Lombardo to get the last out of the game in style.

Roth Brothers fired up the offense in the first inning, when Braydon Freeland drew a walk, scoring one run.

Julian Cunningham led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Roth. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out six.

Zach Herb was on the hill for Whiting. He surrendered six runs on four hits over two innings, striking out one.  Nate Hayes threw two and a third innings out of the bullpen.

Roth Brothers hit one home run on the day. Alex Tomsic put one out in the first inning.

Roth Brothers tallied nine hits in the game. Cam Hollobaugh, Sean Helpy, and Jordy Sheehan each collected multiple hits for Roth.

Whiting didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tyler Kamerer had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
