SALEM LOCKS DOWN LADY CARDINALS

SALEM, OH- The Lady Quakers held Canfield to their lowest-scoring game of the season and came up victorious 32-31. With a back and forth battle and tied game, Salem found themselves with seconds left on the clock that put Jenna McClish on the charity stripe and she knocked down both to win Salem the game. Also for the Quakers Rylee Hutton added 9 points and Abbie Davidson added 8 points while 6 Quakers added to the distributed scoring. Alivia Davidson made some key defensive stops and was key in the rebounding game with 7 boards.

The Quakers defense forced an uncharacteristic 17 turnovers by Canfield.

Alyssa Dill led the Cardinals with 13 points including three makes from beyond the arc, and key buckets down the stretch, while Summer Sammarone had five.

Salem (10-1) will return to action on January 5th when they host Alliance.

In JV Action, the Quakers also move to 10-1 and beat the Cardinals 41-27 while Lauryn Barton added 9 points and Rylee Davidson added 7.
