SALEM LOOKING UNSTOPPABLE

SALEM OH- The Salem offensive machine kept rolling on Friday night ripping off 21 points in the first quarter en route to a 41-0 drubbing of Akron Firestone. Coming in averaging 47 points/game, the Quaker offense did not disappoint, leading 35-0 at the halfway point, and salting away the victory in the second half with the running clock.

As is always the case when talking about the high octane Quaker attack, junior quarterback Jackson Johnson and senior receiver Blaize Exline were on full display. Jackson accounted for five touchdowns on the night: four through the air and another on the ground. Blaize, his #1 target, continued his record-setting career with four of his own, catching 3 of those touchdowns and rushing for another score. Junior Donnie Oesch would account for the other score (a 28-yd catch and run from Johnson).

The Salem defense stood tall all night surrendering less han 100 yards of total offense to the Falcons. Sophomore Ross Davidson led the way, flying all over the field and accounting for 2 interceptions (3 total for the season).

Salem finishes their non-conference schedule at 4-0, beginning EBC play next Friday night against Alliance at Mount Union Stadium. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
