SALEM PROTECTS THEIR HOUSE; DOMINATE LIONS

SALEM, OH- “There’s no place like home” and the 2020 Salem Quaker Basketball team is proving that quickly this season.  The Quakers bounced back from a loss to Springfield earlier in the week to get themselves back to a winning record (2-1) and once again- controlled the temp at John A. Cabas Gymnasium.

Jon Null and Drew Weir led the way for the Red and Black.  Null had 15 points and led the team through the first three frames, while Weir came in to close the deal with 14 points total, eight in the final stanza.  Cade Rohm also had seven tallies while Brock Young and Hunter Griffith each had five.

For Minerva, Brayden Costen paced the Lions with a dozen points, while Kole Mayle had 10.

The Quakers will now wait until Friday to travel and compete against EBC foe, Alliance.
