Gavin Wilms had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Salem, allowing zero runs and besting Minerva by a score of 11-0

Salem secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth inning. Preston Markovich, Blaize Exline, Darius Beck, and Hunter Carlisle each had RBIs in the frame.

In the first inning, the Quakers got their offense started. Lane Rhodes grounded out, scoring one run.

Salem notched six runs in the fifth inning. Their big bats in the inning were led by singles by Beck and Carlisle, an error on a ball put in play by Exline, and a double by Markovich.

A single by Erik Murray in the third inning was a positive for Minerva.

Wilms led things off on the hill for Salem Quakers Varsity. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out ten and walking zero.

Ahdyn Lautzenheiser was on the mound for Minerva. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out four. Kole Mayle threw one inning in relief.

Wilms went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Salem Quakers Varsity in hits.
