SAY CHEESE; CANFIELD HOLDS POLAND HITLESS

CANFIELD, OH- Another night, another no-hitter for the Canfield Cardinals.

Landon Beidelschies was brilliant on the mound on Wednesday, as Beidelschies threw his third no-hitter of the year to lead Canfield past Poland 10-0.

Ben Slanker led the Cardinals to victory by driving in four runs. Slanker went 2-for-3 at the plate. Slanker drove in runs on a triple in the third and a double in the fourth.

Canfield scored four runs in the third inning. Slanker, AJ Havrilla, and Michael Patellis all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Beidelschies wrapped up the postseason win in convincing fashion. The left-hander surrendered no runs on zero hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking zero.

Michael Nittoli took the loss for Poland. The righty surrendered five runs on four hits over three innings.

Canfield will turn their attention to Niles on Monday at Cene Park, while Poland finishes with a mark of 10-12 to conclude their season.
