SCRAPPERS WIN ON OPENING DAY

NILES OH- The Mahoning Valley Scrappers took on the West Virginia Black Bears in the 2022 season opener. The Scrappers jumped on the board quickly, and carried the lead the rest of the way to take the home opener.

Mahoning Valley came right back to take the lead in the 4th, and added onto that lead with an RBI single from the high school prospect, Adrian Salas, to make it 5-3 after 6 innings.

West Virginia made it a 1 run lead in the eight inning, until Buck Anderson broke the game open with a 2 RBI single in the eight inning, making it 7-4.
