SOUTH RANGE SENIORS SET TONE AGAINST AKRON SVSM

CANFIELD, OH-  Madison Weaver came the ballpark and meant business on Wednesday, driving in four on two hits to lead South Range Raiders past St. Vincent-St. Mary 18-6 on Wednesday.  Madison Weaver drove in runs on a home run in the first and a walk in the second.  The Lady Raiders earned the victory despite allowing St. Vincent-St. Mary to score four runs in the fifth inning. St. Vincent-St. Mary’s big inning was driven by singles by JohnsonLanham, and D. Dadich.

St. Vincent-St. Mary opened up scoring in the first inning. Johnson drove in one when she tripled.  South Range notched 12 runs in the second inning. Madison WeaverDrew FerenMaddie HelonAbbey BokrosDanielle Vuletich, and Julie Centofanti each had RBIs in the frame.

Just 24 hours after delivering a perfect game in tournament action, Bree Kohler took the win for South Range. She surrendered two runs on four hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Madison Weaver threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Dadich took the loss for St. Vincent-St. Mary. She went one and one-third innings, allowing ten runs on six hits and striking out one.

South Range hit two home runs on the day. Hope Thomas had a dinger in the second inning. Madison Weaver started the party and went deep in the first inning.  South Range saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Abbey BokrosHanna DennisonDrew FerenBree Kohler, and Madison Weaver all had multiple hits for the Lady Raiders. Abbey Bokros led South Range with three hits in three at-bats.

South Range will host Aurora on Friday for Senior Night.  First pitch is set for 5PM.
