SEVENTH INNING RALLY DOES THE JOB FOR BOBCATS

BUTLER COUNTY PA- Beaver clawed their way to a comeback win on Wednesday, dropping Knoch 8-5 after a wild back-and-forth battle.

Jaedyn Brown wasted no time getting the Bobcats on the board, slapping a single in the top of the first. But Knoch didn’t blink—they came right back in the second with RBI knocks from Carissa Tekely and Grace Hensch to grab the lead, then tacked on two more in the third thanks to a bomb from Emersyn Jones and a base hit from Lindsey Wise.

Down 4-1, Beaver chipped away. Abby Hojdila tied things up in the sixth with a clutch RBI single, and after Knoch briefly took the lead back in the bottom half, the Bobcats saved their best for last.

In the top of the seventh, Sami Springman came through with an RBI knock to even things up, Olivia Peabody followed with a sac fly to put Beaver ahead, and Cali Coups worked a bases-loaded walk to give them some breathing room.

Peabody shut the door from the circle, tossing 3.2 innings of relief with four punchouts to earn the win. Brown got the start, giving up four runs on nine hits in her 3.1 innings of work.

Beaver finished with 10 hits on the day—Hojdila and Kenzie Springer each picked up a pair, and Coups led the way with two RBIs. They also showed discipline at the dish, drawing five walks.

Knoch racked up 11 hits of their own—Jones drove in two and went 2-for-4, while Tekely, Kaila Purcell, Fraser, and Jones each had multi-hit games. They were solid defensively too, turning two double plays without an error.

But Beaver had the last word, and that seventh-inning rally sent them home with a hard-fought W.
