LOUISVILLE OH- The Louisville Leopards Baseball Team has been on one heck of a run, starting way back in April with this 2022 edition of The Leopards.
Part of the success that Louisville has been able to accomplish this season is due to the work and production of a large number of upperclassmen in the program. One of those names being the junior slugger in Karson Siegfried. You may have seen Siegfried’s cannon fire off some runners trying to take an extra bag, as he is one of the better defensive catchers around the area. On top of that, he has to help manage and maintain a very good group of Leopards pitchers. If you have not noticed Siegfried’s defense, perhaps he has raised some eyebrows with a bat in his hand. Firstly, breaking the single season record in Louisville for doubles, as the junior cranked over a baker’s dozen two-baggers to accomplish the feat. In recent memory, you may recall The 2022 District Championship, hosted in Louisville, but acting as the away team versus The Marlington Dukes. When Siegfried showed his strength, belting a two-run shot over the fence. A shot that put Louisville up in the first and they never looked back, winning 2-0 over Marlington.
But just in case you have not had the opportunity to catch the Louisville Slugger himself, you will have an opportunity on Thursday, June 2nd as Louisville takes on Hunting Valley University School in a Regional Semi-Final matchup. Having trouble waiting that long? Don’t worry, we got you covered! As the Running Point boys got a chance to know Karson SIegfriend on and off the field.
