SIX REBELS SCORE IN 48-8 ROUTE OF NORTH

The sign of a good team is winning when they are predicted to do so; the sign of a great team is when they do it in dominating fashion. And that’s exactly what the Crestview Rebels did to the North Akron Vikings Friday night by a score of 48-8.

The Rebels offense was blazing from the start with the big three of Caleb Hill, Andrew Yanssens and Dylan Huff pacing a Rebel’s offense which would put up 378 total yards and over 300 on the ground.  Six different Rebels scored for Crestview led by Devin Turvey, who had 6 rushes for 56 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rebels defense suffocated the Vikings from the get go, snuffing out the wide receiver sweep that hurt them last week. The Rebels held North Akron to 97 total yards of offense, allowing 1 pass completion the entire game for zero yards.

A lot of the younger members of the Rebel team got playing time in this one, impressing those in attendance. Perhaps the most impressive was freshman running back Ethan Powell who amassed 101 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The Rebels will take on Warren JFK next Saturday and you can hear it live on YSN.
