SKRIPAC’S PERFECTION PLACES RAIDERS IN CHAMPIONSHIP

NILES, OH – The South Range Raiders defeated Crestview 10-0 on Monday in the division 3 District Semifinal as Billy Skripac threw a perfect game to lead the Raiders to victory. South Range scored on a single by Mikey Perry, a walk by Skirpac, a fielder’s choice by Stevie Rohan, a groundout by Corey Penick, and a single by Shane Lindstrom combining to put up 6 runs in the first inning.

 

Skripac led South Range to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The fireballer lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out eight and walking zero. Sam Campbell took the loss for Crestview. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and ten runs while striking out three. South Range racked up nine hits on the day. Trey Pancake and Michael Markulin all managed multiple hits for South Range. South Range didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pancake had the most chances in the field with eight.
