SOUTH RANGE GIRLS SOCCER COACH'S CORNER (EP 1) WITH KELSEY MALENIC

CANFIELD OH- The South Range girls soccer team had one of the best seasons in program history, and went the furthest any girls team had gone before in 2020. They did lose a big piece of the puzzle in Bree Kohler who was a big chunk of their offense, but they are returning one of the biggest stars girls soccer has to offer in the area in Gabby Lamparty. Gabby’s leadership along with a versatile roster gives the Raiders a dangerous squad for anyone who has to cross paths with them.

Head coach Kelsey Malenic is in her 5th season with the program, and 2nd season as head coach. You’d think a deep playoff run in your first year would be hard to top, but Malenic is confident that this group has not reached their potential yet. She was able to come on to YSN’s Running Point directly after practice this week to give us an update on the team.
