SOUTHEAST SEES SWEET VICTORY

RAVENNA OH-  Southeast came out swinging on Tuesday and never looked back, dropping five runs in the opening frame to cruise past Brookfield 9-1.

The Pirates wasted no time putting pressure on the Warriors. Caden Dillon grounded into a fielder’s choice to bring in the first run, Caleb Miller ripped a 2-run single, and both Alaunte Massrock and Braedyn Walden drew bases-loaded walks to cap off a five-spot in the top of the first.

They didn’t slow down in the second either—Bradley Dillon swiped home to push the lead to six, setting the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

Dillon also got the nod on the bump and took care of business. He threw three innings of shutout ball, giving up just two hits and striking out a pair. Bradee Blankenship came in and slammed the door, tossing four scoreless frames in relief with five strikeouts and no walks. Brookfield struggled to find rhythm at the plate, managing just two hits—one each from Blake Hammond and Hunter Warrender.

Offensively, the Pirates piled up 10 hits and eight walks. Miller led the way with a 2-for-2 day and a pair of RBIs. Blankenship and Dillon also had two hits apiece. Massrock and Dillon both drew two walks, with Dillon swiping two bags and wreaking havoc on the bases all game long.

Southeast was sharp in the field too, turning a double play and playing clean behind their arms. Next up, the Pirates take on Fuchs Mizrachi on Wednesday.
