SPARTANS STAY PERFECT IN AAC

CANFIELD OH- Boardman went on the road to their next door rivals and had an impressive bounce back win vs the Canfield Cardinals, 66-43. Both teams came out strong but the Spartans never let up, sharing the basketball offensively and playing really hard on the defensive end throughout.

Seth Cervello had a really strong shooting night, connecting on four 3-pointers on his way to a team high 14 points, along with relentless defense. Luke Ryan and Anthony Hightower both came off the bench with huge contributions, scoring 10 points apiece. Ethan Andersen played strong inside on both ends, fighting through double teams to score 9 points, while grabbing 8 rebounds. Ben Alvarico was spark early, finishing with 8 points. Spencer Smith had a strong all around game, scoring 7 points. Trey DePietro put in 6 points while helping to control the glass with 9 rebounds. D.J. Evans rounded out the scoring with 2 points. Ty Ventresco, Marco Stilliana and Dorian Bell played valuable minutes in the winning effort.

Boardman improves to 8-3 (3-0) on the season. The Spartans next game is TBD this weekend.
