SPRINGFIELD REBOUNDS AGAINST REBELS

COLUMBIANA, OH- The Tigers went to Crestview Monday night and struggled to put the ball in the net early vs Rebel keeper Lexie Huff. Despite a strong first half from the Springfield defense, the Tigers trailed 0-1 at the half. Brionna Holt got the scoring started early in the second half and then kept it rolling as she scored a hat trick with three goals. Riley Blakeman and Sami Shafer each added a goal for Springfield as Shafer’s goal was assisted by Emma Sanders. Tiger keeper Caitlin Cappelli had twelve saves, one on a penalty kick late in the second half.

For Crestview, Lexie Huff had 11 saves and Maci Shaffer scored the loan Rebel goal.
