SPRINGFIELD SILENCES ROCKETS

LOWELLVILLE OH- Springfield came into Monday night’s game with just two wins in the MVAC, and they trailed Lowellville in the standings. But on this night there was no doubt who the better team was. Springfield controlled the game from the jump, rolling to a 52-28 win over the Rockets on the road.

Jacey Mullen had a big second quarter, and ended up leading the Tigers with 17 points on the night. Kylee Kosek collected a double double with 13 points, and 11 steals on the night. Peyton Kliem added 8 for the Tigers.

The Rockets were led by Savannah Procick who finished in double figures with 10 points. Sammie Moore contributed 8.

Springfield will stay in the league as they return home on Saturday to host Liberty. Lowellville stays at home and will host Waterloo on Thursday.
