NEWTON FALLS OH- Two Tigers met on Monday evening, but only one would be allowed to call themselves victors. It was a thrilling finish, but eventually Springfield came out in a five set win. (15-25 25-17 21-25 25-23 15-7)
Baelyn Brungard led the way for the Tigers with 12 kills on the night. She would go on to earn a triple double with 12 digs, and 12 assists. Jameka Brungard was also in double figures with 10 kills, and added 6 blocks. Madi Lesnak also blocked 6 swings, and added 8 kills. Sam McKim had a tremendous defensive performance with 37 digs. Gianna Piccuta led in assists with 24.
Springfield goes home on Tuesday to host Jackson Milton. Newton Falls faces a big test on Tuesday traveling to Crestview.
