STORMS ROLL IN, URSULINE ROLLS OUT
YOUNGSTOWN OH- Brooke O’Palick put on an absolute clinic at the plate Monday night, going a perfect 5-for-5 as Ursuline ran away from Canton Central Catholic in a 10-0 beatdown.
O’Palick came out swinging with a triple in the first, another in the fifth, a double in the fourth, and a pair of singles in between. She was unstoppable, driving the offense and setting the tone all night long.
The Irish wasted no time getting on the board. O’Palick’s first triple kicked things off, and Eva Camuso followed with a two-run single. Isis MyLove tacked on another RBI knock, and just like that, it was 4-0 after one.
Bella Zamaria got the start and shoved for six scoreless innings, striking out seven and scattering just four hits. She kept the Crusaders off balance all game, and the defense backed her up with a clean double play to help seal the deal.
Ursuline piled up 15 hits when it was all said and done. Camuso and Kayla Sztary each drove in a pair, while MyLove, Lila Jones, and Emma Davies all chipped in with multi-hit nights. The Irish also worked six walks, with Camuso and Katie Koulianos showing great patience at the plate. Brooke Burton swiped two bags for good measure.
Canton managed just four hits and couldn’t generate any momentum as the Irish rolled from start to finish. Next up, Ursuline hits the road for a showdown at Archbishop Hoban on Wednesday.
