STRUTHERS WILDCATS BASKETBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 3) WITH MIKE WERNICKI

STRUTHERS, OH – Coming off two big wins in NE8 play last week, head coach Mike Wernicki and the Struthers Wildcats are off to an 11-0 start in the 2020-2021 basketball season! The Cats currently have everyone in Wildcat nation amped up and excited for this week’s three game slate. Up first will be a matchup against Villa Angela-St. Joseph on Monday at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, then a conference match up with Girard on Tuesday, followed by another NE8 game on Friday against Jefferson.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie, had the opportunity to chat with Coach Wernicki via video this week to talk about the Wildcats games last week, preview the three games this week, see how he and his staff are handling a big match up in Cleveland tomorrow, and how he has the Cats playing focused basketball as the season has reached its midpoint!
