AVALANCHE KEEPING FIRST PLACE ON LOCK
STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche came out swinging and never looked back in an 11-0 rout over Knightline in 16U Class B action at Bob Cene Park.
Isaac McCandless was a menace at the plate, ripping two triples, knocking in a run and crossing the dish twice. Justin Amos kept the wheels turning with two hits of his own, one of them a triple, and tacked on a pair of runs. Jackson Leskovac chipped in with a double, an RBI, and a run to round out the hit parade.
On the bump, Brekken Hedderick was lights out. He spun three innings of one-hit ball and punched out six to lock down the shutout.
