QUAD COUNTY TO INDUCT 2025 CLASS OF HALL OF FAMERS

SALEM, OH- Another chapter in Quad-County football history is being written this summer, as the Quad-County Football Coaches Association adds three more legends to its Hall of Fame. The 2025 class will be officially inducted during the annual Penn-Ohio Stateline All-Star Classic at Bob Sebo Stadium in Salem on June 19, bringing the Hall’s membership to 23 of the most respected names in the region’s football community.

Class of 2025: Coaches and Contributors Who Mattered

Coach Sam Fornsaglio brings a résumé that stretches across decades and school districts. With 161 wins to his name, Fornsaglio led programs at United, Youngstown Liberty, Monroeville, Cadiz, Wintersville, Indian Creek, Willoughby, and Claymont. His teams claimed 11 conference championships, 2 regional titles, and he twice earned Ohio Coach of the Year honors. A veteran of both the North/South All-Star Game and the OVAC All-Star Game, Fornsaglio built a legacy of toughness, pride, and program-building that stands tall in the Buckeye State.

Coach Sean Guerriero spent 18 seasons at the helm of the Springfield Tigers and racked up 133 wins. His tenure included 7 league championships, 9 playoff appearances, 3 regional titles, and 2 state final trips—cementing his place as one of the most accomplished coaches in Springfield history. Guerriero also represented the area in the Penn-Ohio Classic and the North/South All-Star Game. He currently serves as Springfield’s Athletic Director and continues to impact Tiger athletes every day.

Ed Slopek, a longtime supporter and contributor to area football programs, rounds out this year’s class. For over three decades, Ed worked with Ace Reconditioning and Sales of Athletic Equipment, ensuring programs across Northeastern and Eastern Ohio were properly equipped and supported. From practice fields to the Penn-Ohio Classic, Slopek’s fingerprints are on generations of high school football in the region—quietly and humbly making sure the lights stayed on and the game thrived.
