QUAKERS MAKE STATEMENT IN WEST BRANCH

BELOIT OH-

It has been 3,980 days since the Lady Quakers last won a road game to West Branch Girls basketball and today they ended that winning 49-42.

In a collaborative team effort, they were able to overcome momentum shifts in the game and bring home a win.

For the Quakers, Kyla Jamison played a huge role in hitting some key shots that landed her with 20 points. Also for the Quakers, sisters Abbie and Annie Davidson hit 14 and 8 shots respectively. The Quakers are now 7-2 and are 3-0 in EBC action and travel to Minerva on Saturday.

DEVILS SNATCH VICTORY AWAY FROM SALEM

CANFIELD OH- In a collection of great teams gathering at South Range on Monday for the Holiday Hoops Classic, Western Reserve and Salem was a marquee matchup on day 1. The Quakers led 31-20 after 3 quarters, However, the Blue Devils raved all the way back in the final frame. They outscored the Quakers 16-5 in the 4th. Tied at 36 headed to overtime, the Devils pulled out the 39-36 win.

Olivia Pater led the Devils with 11 points. Kennedy Miller, and Brooke Schantz both contributed 8.

Kyla Jamison led the way for Salem scoring a game-high 14 points. Annie Davidson added 9 for the Quakers.

Both teams get back to it tomorrow in Day 2 of the Holiday Hoops Classic. Salem will square off with Ursuline at 10:00. Western Reserve will play Poland at 12:00.

SALEM SUSPENDS AVIATORS TAKE OFF

SALEM OH-

The Lady Quakers defeated Alliance 8-0 on Senior Night Wednesday. The Lady Quakers scoring started with Abby Perry’s two goals on the night. Rylee Hutton contributed three to the Lady Quakers with 1 assist. Senior Paige Bailey had a goal and two assists. Mikaylynn Murphy had a goal and an assist. Chloe Wilhelm had a goal. Clara Double and Krista Barley each contributed an assist. Sam Moore had two great saves to preserve the clean sheet. Seniors Paige Bailey, Annie Davidson, Libby Ripley, Hannah Kelm, Zoe DeLand, and Skyler Green all played a phenomenal match in making their senior night one to remember.

In JV action, Salem dropped Alliance 6-0. Senior Skyler Green had two goals. Chloe Wilhelm scored a goal. Cece Perez had a goal and an assist. Lauryn Barton had a goal and two assists. Rachel Fowler also contributed a goal.

The Lady Quakers will be back in action Monday when they host Columbiana at 5 PM.
