STACY LEADS FALCONS TO SHUTOUT WIN

STRUTHERS OH-  Ford Stacy was lights out at Cene, mowing down 14 and tossing a complete game shutout to lead the Astro Falcons past Athletix 6-0 in 16U action.

Stacy gave up just four hits and kept Athletix off the board all night, mixing it up and punching tickets from start to finish.

Chase Gelpi chipped in offensively with a double and a run, helping give Stacy all the breathing room he needed.

Pierson Ginocchi ripped a double for Athletix, but they couldn’t string anything together against the buzzsaw on the hill.

FALCONS FIND A WAY TO SNEAK BY ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH-  Astro Falcons took care of business in a low-scoring grind, knocking off Athletix 3-1 behind a solid showing on the bump and some timely swings.

Ben Peterson provided the pop, launching a shot and finishing with two RBIs and a run. Rowan Urbach added a triple to keep the pressure on.

Jacob Hayes went 4 2/3 for the win, scattering three hits and just one run. Tyler Wilson slammed the door with 1 1/3 innings of shutdown ball, striking out five and locking up the save.

Johnny Adamson tried to spark Athletix with two hits, including a double, but the Falcons’ arms kept the lineup in check.

CREEKSIDE CASHES IN ON BIG WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside rolled through Athletix 10-1 in 16U Class B action at Bob Cene Park, getting it done at the plate and on the hill.

Jackson Johnson kept the line moving with a pair of hits, including a double and a run scored. Stellar Winder roped a triple, drove in one, and crossed the dish himself. Blake Burchill showed out on both sides—tripling in two runs and then spinning five solid innings on the bump. He gave up just four hits and one run while sitting down six.

Athletix got doubles from Richie Ansel and Logan Patellis—who also scored their lone run—but couldn’t string anything together against Burchill and company.

ATHLETIX WIN THE SECOND OF THE NIGHT

STRUTHERS OH-  Athletix got it done at the plate, outlasting Avalanche 9-6 in a scrappy showdown at Bob Cene Park. Logan Cypher was locked in—three hits, one of ’em a double, plus an RBI and two runs scored. Cody Bungert added some pop with a double of his own, driving in one and scoring once, and Landon Whippo kept the pressure on with two hits and an RBI.

Avalanche didn’t go down easy. Graham Keen knocked in two and scored once, Elijah Hochstetter ripped a double and added an RBI and a run, and Henry Biggs-Desantis left the yard with a solo shot, finishing with two runs scored.

But in the end, Athletix had more gas in the tank and more barrels to match, grinding out the win in a game that saw plenty of action on both sides.

ATHLETIX PITCHING SLAMS THE DOOR

STRUTHERS OH-  Runs were tough to come by, but Athletix found just enough to edge out Knightline 2-0 in a tight one at Bob Cene Park.

Julian Tranovich came through with two knocks and an RBI, while Logan Cypher added a pair of hits and scored one of Athletix’s two runs. That’s all they’d need, as the arms did the rest.

Knightline had their chances with Drew Chizmar and Max Knouse each logging two hits, but they couldn’t cash in when it counted. Athletix locked it down when it mattered most, keeping Knightline off the board and walking away with the dub.

ATHLETIX LAY DOWN THE LUMBER

STRUTHERS OH- It was all gas, no brakes for Athletix on Tuesday night at Bob Cene Park as they steamrolled A2Z Athletics, 15-3, in Class B 18U action.

Logan Cypher sparked the party with a pair of knocks and crossed the plate twice. Tyler Kirlik stayed hot at the dish, roping a double among his two hits, adding an RBI and a run. Julian Tranovich was all over the basepaths—two hits, one of them a double, and three runs scored. Anthony Triveri joined the hit parade with a loud triple, driving in two and scoring once himself.

A2Z had a couple flashes of pop with Xavier Klamer and Nathan McGahagan each smashing a triple—Klamer driving in a run and McGahagan tagging home once—but it wasn’t nearly enough to hang with Athletix’s offensive barrage.

AVALANCHE WIN OFFENSIVE BOUT WITH ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- In a high-scoring semifinal at the NABF Senior Division World Series, Avalanche took down Athletix 16-12.

Carter Dejulia had a monster game with four hits, including a double, driving in seven runs and scoring three times. Jack Strausser chipped in with two hits, three RBIs, and two runs. Jason Malley smashed two doubles, bringing in five runs. Noah Philson and Grayson Eicher each added two hits, with Eicher scoring five times and driving in one.

For Athletix, CJ Frasco had two hits, including a triple, with three RBIs and two runs. Gavin Fallgren doubled twice, driving in four runs and scoring twice. Tyler Wardle added a double, an RBI, and scored two times.

ATHLETIX KEEP UP THEIR IMPRESSIVE WEEKEND

STRUTHERS OH- In a Saturday afternoon NABF 18U showdown at Bob Cene Park, Athletix powered past the Troy Legends 7-3.

CJ Frasco led the charge with three hits, including a triple, driving in three runs and scoring once. Dom Zitello chipped in with two hits and two runs, while Gavin Fallgren added two hits, an RBI, and a run. Evan Tice had two hits and an RBI, and Logan Cypher doubled, driving in a run and scoring once.

Konnor Brogan pitched five solid innings for the win, allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out five.

ATHLETIX DONT SEE A PROBLEM WITH SAYO

STRUTHERS OH- Saturday afternoon at Bob Cene Park, Athletix put on a show, demolishing Sayo Grays 14-0.

Paul Gubba and Andrew Brown each had two hits, an RBI, and scored twice. Tyler Wardle added three hits, an RBI, and a run. Luke Gehring doubled, driving in two runs, while CJ Frasco also doubled, adding two RBIs and scoring twice.

Cale Moraski pitched two innings for the shutout win, allowing no hits and striking out four. Peter Cruz had the only hit for Sayo Grays.

ATHLETIX RESPOND QUICKLY IN DAY TWO

STRUTHERS OH- Friday afternoon at Bob Cene Park, Athletix rolled over Avalanche 6-1 in NABF 18U action.

CJ Frasco led the charge with two hits, including a double, and scored twice. Tyler Wardle chipped in with two hits and a walk. Frasco also dominated on the mound, pitching a complete game, allowing six hits and no earned runs, while striking out eight.

For Avalanche, Jason Malley had two hits and an RBI, and Grayson Eicher added three hits and a run, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Athletix’s strong performance.
