LADY BRAVES GET WIN NUMBER EIGHT

KINSMAN, OH- In an intense varsity volleyball matchup, the Badger Lady Braves faced off against the Bristol team, resulting in an exciting four-set match. The scores were 25-27, 25-10, 25-21, and 25-14, with the Badger Lady Braves ultimately securing the victory.

The first set was a nail-biter, with Bristol narrowly edging out Badger 27-25, showcasing the competitive spirit of both teams. However, the Badger Lady Braves quickly bounced back, dominating the second set with a score of 25-10. Their remarkable performance in this set was largely attributed to the serving prowess of Hannah Betts, who led her team with an astonishing 18 serves and contributed 4 aces alongside Brianna Lendak.

The third set was another hard-fought battle, but Badger managed to secure a 25-21 victory, taking the lead in the match. In this set, Brianna Huscroft showcased her setting skills with 18 assists, effectively distributing the ball to her teammates for successful attacks. Hannah Betts continued to be a standout player, not only in her serving and assists but also in her impressive 9 kills and 2 blocks, contributing significantly to her team’s success.

Hannah Betts also showcased her exceptional defensive skills with a staggering 25 digs throughout the match, demonstrating her commitment to ensuring that her team had the opportunity to counter Bristol’s attacks.

BADGER KEEPS ROLLING ON THE COURT

KINSMAN, OH- In a thrilling varsity volleyball match, the Badger Lady Braves faced off against Chalker, and it was a match to remember. The Badger Lady Braves emerged victorious in a convincing three-set sweep, with scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-16.

The key to Badger’s success in this matchup was their impressive serving. Brianna Lendak led the way with a remarkable 9 serves that kept Chalker on the defensive throughout the game. Both Brianna Lendak and Gabriella Miller contributed 6 aces each, making it extremely challenging for Chalker to counter their serves.

Brianna Huscroft showcased her skills as the team’s primary setter, racking up 8 assists to help set up her teammates for successful attacks. Hannah Betts and Gabriella Miller were the offensive powerhouses for the Badger Lady Braves, each recording 7 kills. Their well-placed shots and strong attacks put constant pressure on the Chalker defense.

Hannah Betts also stood out defensively with 3 blocks, disrupting Chalker’s attempts to score and further cementing her team’s control of the match. Additionally, Ava Harnett played a crucial role in the backline with 9 digs, ensuring that Badger was able to dig out Chalker’s attacks and transition to offense smoothly.

The Badger Lady Braves’ all-around performance, from serving and setting to attacking and defending, proved too much for Chalker to handle. With this impressive victory, the Badger Lady Braves improved to 7-1 on the season, and 6-0 in the NAC.

LADY BRAVES STAY UNBEATEN

KINSMAN, OH- The Badger Lady Braves faced off against Fairport Harbor, showcasing their 1-0 record to start the contest, and walked away with a clean sweep victory. The final scores of the three sets were 25-11, 25-19, and 25-15 in favor of Badger.

The Badger Lady Braves demonstrated their dominance, taking control of the first set with a commanding 25-11 win. They continued their strong performance in the second set, securing a 25-19 victory as they maintained their strategic plays and coordination on the court. The third set saw the Badger team maintain their momentum, clinching a 25-15 triumph to complete the three-set sweep.

Badger’s standout players made significant contributions to their success. Gabriella Miller showcased her consistency and skill as a server, recording an impressive total of 12 points from the service line. Alison Price demonstrated her prowess with aces, contributing 5 key points to the team’s overall score.

Brianna Huscroft played a pivotal role as an assist leader, tallying a total of 9 assists to ensure the team’s smooth and effective offensive plays. Brianna Lendak exhibited her attacking abilities, earning 8 kills for the Badger Lady Braves, adding to their offensive power.

KINSMAN, OH- In an electrifying display of skill and teamwork, the Badger Varsity Volleyball team dominated their opponent, Bristol, with a series of commanding victories. The sets unfolded with scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-14, showcasing Badger’s consistent and dominant performance throughout the match.

Brianna Lendak emerged as a key player on the serving front, delivering an impressive total of 11 well-placed serves that posed a challenge for Bristol to handle.

Brianna Lendak’s exceptional serving skills translated into a remarkable tally of 4 aces, contributing significantly to Badger’s control over the game’s momentum.

Gabriella Miller showcased her role as a facilitator with a total of 10 assists. Her precise and well-timed passes set up her teammates for impactful plays, showcasing the team’s strong coordination.

BRAVES CLAIM TOP SPOT IN LOCAL TRI MATCH

COLUMBIANA OH- The Badger Braves were up for a challenge as they traveled to Columbiana for a tri match on Wednesday. The Braves swept the competition posting a low score of 142 defeating Columbiana and McDonald at Valley.

Badger was led by Austin Mariani, Hudson Rice and Ian Tricker all shooting a low round 34. Columbiana carded a team score of 162 as Rocco Crawford and Anthony Hall each posted 37. McDonald totaled 173 and was led by Chris Ragozzine’s 43.

BRAVES BUILD THEIR WAY TO AN UPSET VICTORY

BERLIN CENTER, OHIO- Bradley Hamilton threw a gem on Friday for the Badger Braves, allowing zero runs and besting Western Reserve by a score of 2-0.

The Braves got things started in the second inning when Tyler McWilliams singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Lewis Flowers led the Braves at the plate with two hits in four at bats and Hamilton pitched the Braves to victory a the righty went seven innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out ten.

Evan Slaven took the loss for Western Reserve as the bulldog went four innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and striking out one.

With the win the Braves will now advance to round two to take on the Springfield Tigers on Thursday.

BADGER RUNS BY THE COWBOYS

NILES, OHIO- In what was an exciting and somewhat unusual , the Badger Braves ran away against the Chaney Cowboys 15-6 in which the Braves had three inside the park home runs.

After the Cowboys took the lead in the top of the first inning, the Braves scored twelve unanswered runs in the bottom of the first to stay in the lead for good. Brad Hamilton led the way for the Braves as he went 3 for 3 at the plate including hitting two of the three inside the park homeruns. Trey Davis, who went 1 for 4 on the day had the other inside the park homerun.

Lewis Flowers got the win on the mound as he pitched two innings, allowing 2 hits, 4 runs, and sat down 3 batters.

The losing pitcher on the mound was Marquis Sly who allowed 9 hits, 16 runs, and had 3 strikeouts for the Cowboys.

Chaney will try to bounce back when they take on the visiting Lettonia Bears on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The Braves will look for two wins in a row when they go up against East Palestine at home on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

BADGER HAS AN EASY TIME WITH FAIRPORT HARDING

KINSMAN, OHIO- Badger got on the winning side of things as they got the bats swinging early and ran away from Fairport Harding 15-0.

The Braves had multiple players with three or more hits including Sarah Betts, Jessica Lovesee, and Cheyene Lindus. Betts also led the Braves in steals with four. Molly O’Brien was dominant in the circle as she only allowed 1 hit and had 10 strikeouts for the Braves. Jana Vale was the starting pitcher in the circle for the Skippers as she allowed 15 hits, 10 runs, and had 2 strikeouts in the loss.

Badger will look for their third win in a row when they host the Liberty Leopards on Thursday at 5:00pm. Fairport will travel to Windham on Friday to take on the Bombers at 5:00pm. 

BADGER HAS SOME FUN

AUSTINTOWN, OHIO- In what was just a one run game through five innings, the Badger blasted away scoring nine runs in the sixth inning to silence Chaney 18-8.

The Braves were led by freshman standout Lewis Flowers, who went 4 for 5 at the plate and scored four runs for the Braves. Flowers was also dominant on the base running side of things as he led the team with six steals on the day.

Hayden Guyer was the starting pitcher for the Braves as he allowed 1 hit, and 4 runs before being relieved. Braydon Polk led the Cowboys at the plate going 2 for 4. Marquis Sly started things out on the mound for the Cowboys allowing 2 hits, 7 runs, and had 3 strikeouts.

The Braves will return home to take on the Brookfield Warriors on Wednesday at 5:00pm. Chaney will travel to Mckinley to take on the Trojans on Thursday at 5:00pm

BRAVES ROCK TO THE BEAT

KINSMAN, OHIO- In what was a close game to begin with, the Badger Braves quickly ran away from the Chalker Wildcats to win 15-4.

Through two innings of play the score was 4-1, then the Braves erupted scoring four runs in the third inning then another eight runs in the fourth inning to put them in front for good. Multiple Braves had two hits including Brad Hamilton, Jack Springer, and Jared Schmidt. Hamilton was also the winning pitcher of the afternoon as he allowed 4 gits, 4 runs, and sat down 8 batters at the plate as he put in four innings of work.

The Braves will be back in action when they travel to Chaney to take on the Cowboys on Tuesday.
