KNIGHTLINE SEWS UP A STRONG WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline was able to stitch together a victory on Thursday night in Class B play in the 16U division.  They scored 5 runs in the 7th frame to run away with a 7-1 victory.

Chance Laczko had a perfect day at the plate. He went 3-3 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.  Aiden Thompson went 1-2 on the day with a walk, run scored, and a RBI.  Santino Cambotti scored two runs on a 1-3 day walking once, and knocking in a RBI.  Dru DeShields also picked up a RBI on a 1-4 day.

DeShields got the win on the bump for Knightline. He went 6 innings and gave up 0 earned runs on 8 hits.  He struck out 7 and only walked 1.

Willie Moore had multiple hits for Ballistic on the day. He went 2-3.  Luke Leonard went 1-2 on the day. Donovan Bell-Sullavin went 1-3 with a run scored.

 

Cameron Foy was charged with the loss. He went 5.2 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.  He struck out 3.

CREEKSIDE PUTS THE HURT ON BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Everything was going right for Creekside on Thursday in 16U Class B action. They hit and pitched their way to a dominating 16-1 victory over Ballistic Baseball.

It was Danny Flynn swinging the biggest bat of the day for Creekside. He went 3-4 with runs scored and 3 RBI.  Kaiden Anthony went 1-3 with a pair of RBI.  Jack Davis made the most of a 1-4 night knocking in 3 RBI and scoring 2 runs.  Creekside worked 7 walks as a team, Devin Gruver went 1-2 with 2 of those walks, and a run scored. He also collected a RBI.

The strong hitting should not overshadow the impressive pitching performance that Creekside put out. Riley Davison took the win going 2 innings and giving up no runs on 2 hits. He struck out 1.

Luke Leonard had a nice night for Ballistic despite the offensive struggles. He went 1-2 with a run scored.  Brady Harman and Stargell Fuhr both went 1-2 on the day. Will Moore did not get retired on the night going 1-1.

Dominic Elia was tagged with the loss on the mound for Balistic. He went 3 innings giving up 6 runs on 8 hits. He was able to strike out 5 hitters.

FALCONS BLOW AWAY BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- It was all Astro Falcons on Tuesday in 16U Class B action. They hit and pitched at top level in a 11-0 whooping of Ballistic Baseball.

Jay Michael-Wrona was the big bat for the Falcons going 2-3 with 3 RBI. He also scored a run. Luca Ricchiuti had a perfect day at the plate going 2-2 with 3 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI. Seth Cervello also went 2-2 at the plate with a walk, 2 runs scored, and a RBI.

Jay Campbell threw a gem on the hill for the Falcons. He threw a complete 5 innings, giving up 0 runs on 3 hits and striking out 6.

TJ Border went 1-1 on the day for Ballistic.  Tyler Cunningham, and Colby Lewis both went 1-2 on the day. They both stole a base as well.

Dustin Coss took the loss on the mound for Ballistic he went 2 innings and was charged with 7 runs. He struck out a batter.

FALCONS BLANK BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- After throwing a no hitter on Monday, the Astro Falcons pitching staff in the 18U division kept rolling on Wednesday night shutting out Ballistic Baseball 6-0.

Chase Vrabel had multiple hits for the Falcons going 2-3 with a RBI. Aiden Kelly went 1-2 with a run scored and a pair of RBI. Jackson Hower also went 2-3 with a run scored, and he knocked in 2 RBI as well.

Tommy Beam was credited with the win on the mound. He went 6 innings giving up 0 runs on 3 hits. He struck out 12 without walking a single batter.

Although Ballistic’s hits were scarce, Koby Zupko went 1-2 on the day. Anthony Koulianos also had a 1-2 day at the plate.

Griffin Widrig was hit with the loss on the rubber for Ballistic. He went 4 innings and gave up 3 runs (none of them were earned) on 4 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 2.

AVALANCHE COME BACK ON BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- It was a back and forth tug of war matchup on Tuesday night in 16U Class B action between Avalanche and Ballistic Baseball. Avalanche took an early 4-1 lead, but then Ballistic took it back 5-4. After Ballistic added one more in the 6th, Avalanche struck for 3 runs in the bottom of the frame to take the lead for good 7-6.

Julian Trott went 1-2 for Avalanche with a RBI. Lucas Cummings went 1-1 with a RBI on the day. Keegan Balla also collected a RBI for the Avalanche’s offense.

Hatden Scarnack picked up the win for the Avalanche as he threw a scoreless 7th after the lead was secured.

Mathew Lindsey went 1-3 while knocking in 2 runs for Ballistic. Tommy Groner had a perfect day at the plate going 1-1 with a walk and a run scored. He also collected a RBI.

Dustin Coss pitched 4 innings for Ballistic. He threw 4 innings and gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He walked a pair.

AVALANCHE STONEWALL BALLISTIC’S OFFENSE

STRUTHERS OH- The pitching on both sides of the Avalanche vs Ballistic 18U Class B game on Monday night was impressive. However, it was Avalanche that stood tall and finished the shut out Ballistic 2-0.

It was a 2 run 3rd inning for Avalanche that made the difference. Mason Jones went 2-3 with a RBI. Logan Ayres went 1-3 and a run scored, he also knocked in a RBI. Alarik Sierra went 1-2 with a run scored.

Jaret Boyer was lights out on the mound for Avalanche. He worked all 7 innings and gave up 0 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 8 and walked 2.

Anthony Koulianos went 1-2 for Ballistic, and so did Justin Fell, Dustin Horn, and Will Morrow. Isaac Schleich walked twice.

Morrow did not pitch badly for Ballistic. He took the tough luck loss. He went 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 2.

BALLISTIC STRIKES HARD AT EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS OH-

Eagle Wear fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-0 loss to Ballistics on Sunday.

Eagle Wear struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Ballistic, giving up 12 runs.

Ballistics got things moving in the first inning, when Dennis Fedele’s wild pitch allowed one run to score.

A single by Alex Zordich in the first inning was a positive for 16u.

Tommy Groner led things off on the mound for Ballistics. The ace allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one.

Fedele toed the rubber for Eagle Wear. The hurler surrendered seven runs on four hits over two and a third innings, striking out four. Evan Gilson threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Zordich went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Eagle Wear in hits. Eagle Wear didn’t commit a single error in the field. Fedele had one chances in the field, the most on the team.

Ballistics collected eight hits. Colby Lewis racked up multiple hits going 2-3 to lead.

EAGLE WEAR A LEVEL ABOVE BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- On Friday night it was all Eagle Wear in their 18U matchup with Ballistic. Eagle Wear scored 7 runs in the first 4 innings and never looked back. They took a 9-2 victory.

Thomas Hanton was a big part of Eagle Wear’s success at the plate. He went 2-3 with 2 RBI. Eli Harpalani also had a big day on offense, he went 2-4 with 2 RBI. Anthony Caruso went 2-3 with a RBI. Bret Brown was 2-3 with 2 runs scored.

Connor Carney pitched well for Eagle Wear. He went the distance pitching all 7 innings. He gave up 10 H but only 2 ER. He struck out 13 hitters and walked none.

Isaac Schleich went 2-3 at the plate to lead Ballistic. He picked up a RBI. Dalton Curron collected the other RBI for Ballistic going 1-3 on the day. Brady Harmon went 2-4 with a run scored.

Dylan McElhinney took the loss at the mound for Balistic. He threw 3 innings and gave up 6 ER on 9 H. He struck out 4 and walked 2.

DURA EDGE HOLDS DOWN BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge pitching was on point Friday night as they kept Ballistic’s offense scoreless in a big 8-0 win in Class B action.

Mitch Garvin had a strong night hitting for Dura Edge. He went 2-3 with a RBI.  Marco Massucci also had a multiple hit night going 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Nick Leasure gathered 3 hits going 3-4 with 2 runs scored.

Sal Mineo went 6 innings on the mound for Dura Edge and earned the win. He didn’t allow a single run, and only gave up a hit. He also struck out 8 batters and walked just 1.

Tyler Cunningham had a hit for Ballistic going 1-2 on the day.  Tommy Groner went 1-3.

Cameron Foy was given the loss on the hill. He went 3 innings giving up 6 ER on 9 H. He struck out 4 and walked 1.

BALLISTIC SNEAKS AWAY FROM PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic pulled away with a highly contested win on Thursday in a high scoring affair with Prospects 8-7.

Mathew Lindsey went 2-4 for Ballistic with a run scored and 2 RBI. Brady Harmon had a perfect day at the plate going 2-2 with 3 runs scored. He walked once and drove in a RBI. Tyler Cunningham also went without being retired. He went 1-1 with 2 walks and a RBI.

Harman was given the win for Ballistic. He threw 2 innings and gave up 1 ER on 2 H. He recorded the only strike out of the day for Ballistic’s pitching staff.

Jack Kenney had a strong day on offense for Prospects. He went 2-3 on the day with 2 runs scored. He knocked in 2 RBI. Jack Lephemer went 2-3 as well with 2 RBI. He scored a run. Andrew Kirilla went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Evan Tice went 2-4 with a run scored.

Olindo Pezzone took the loss on the mound. He threw 2 innings giving up 2 ER on 2 H. He struck out 1 and walked 2.
