BALLISTIC GROOVES PAST WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball has a strong finish on Tuesday to grab a 6-4 victory over Whiting Roll-Offs. Going into the 5th inning, Ballistic trailed 2-0. They scored four runs in the 5th and then scored two more in the 6th to seal their win.

Marc Conti had a productive day at the plate for Ballistic. He went 2-3 with a run scored, a walk, and 2 RBI. Jack Dascenzo went 1-2 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI.

All 4 of Whiting’s RBI’s came from hitters who didn’t record hits. Ken Lavrich, Mitch Lang, Dante Micaletti, and Braeden D’Angelo all had RBI’s without a hit. Whiting walked 10 times.

Five pitchers worked for Ballistic, but Brock Baker was given the win. He pitched an inning giving up 0 runs on a hit and struck out a batter.

FALCONS SCRAPE PAST BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- One Run was enough for the Astro Falcons on Monday night as they just got by Ballistic 1-0. They avoided what would have been a big upset as Ballistic sits towards the bottom of the standings.

On a slow offensive night for both teams, Andrew Russel had the only RBI of the game. He went 1-2 with a walk. Ricky Havrilla had multiple hits going 2-3.

Koby Zupko had 2 of the 3 Ballistic hits going 2-3. The other hit came from Anthony Koulianos who went 1-3.

Nick Cosentino picked up the win on the mound. He went 3 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit. Cal Bickerstaff finished the game going 4 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits striking out 7.

CREEKSIDE ENDS THE WEEKEND RIGHT

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside ended Sunday night with a 6-2 win over Ballistic Baseball. Not many hits were to be had on the day as the two teams combined for 7 hits. Creekside had a big 2nd inning however, scoring  five in the frame.

Devin Gruver led Creekside’s offense going 1-2 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Danny Smith went 1-2 with a run scored. Jack Davis collected the other team RBI, he also scored a run.

Isaac Schleich went 1-3 with a run scored for Ballistic. Luke Leonard went 1-2. Andrew Cupon collected the lone RBI for his team.

David Posey picked up the win on the bump for Creekside. He went 5 innings giving up 0 earned runs on 2 hits. He struck out 6.

 

PROSPECTS SHOOT OUT BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects claimed a 12-3 victory on Sunday, despite a big push by Ballistic in the fifth inning.  Thomas Pesa and Dominic Elia all drove in runs in the frame.

Cobey Airwikie took the win for Prospects. He allowed two hits and zero runs over three and a third innings, striking out five and walking one.  Michael Condoleon, Stephen Palmer, and Nico Ciminero all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.  Ciminero recorded the last out to earn the save.

Elia took the loss for Ballistic. He went three innings, allowing ten runs on 12 hits and walking one.

Prospects racked up 16 hits in the game.  Donovan McCoy, Condoleon, Palmer, Carter Knupp, Anthony Marimpietri, Airwikie, and Montgomery Hart each racked up multiple hits.  McCoy led Prospects with three hits in three at bats.

BALLISTIC CANT CATCH UP TO CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH-

Creekside took the lead late and defeated Ballistic Baseball  7-3 on Thursday.  The game was tied at three with Creekside batting in the bottom of the fifth when Tyson Tarajack singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Ballistic fired up the offense in the first inning, when Beau Alazaus drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Ballistic scored one run in the top of the fourth, Creekside answered with one of their own.  Ballistic Baseball scored when Caleb Saterfield singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.    Creekside then answered when Donovan Bell-Sullivan tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Tyler Mikulin earned the victory on the hill for Creekside. He allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.  

Alazaus took the loss for Ballistic . He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out two and walking one.

 Zach Ganser started the game for Ballistic. He allowed one hit and two runs over two and two-thirds innings Tarajack started the game for   Creekside. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out one

BALLISTIC SHOOTS DOWN AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH-

Ballistic Baseball nabbed the lead late in the game in an 8-4 victory over Avalanche on Tuesday.  The game was tied at four with Ballistic batting in the top of the fifth when Michael Chambers singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Avalanche scored four runs in the third inning, but Ballistic still managed to pull out the victory.  Avalanche  batters contributing to the big inning included Santino Piccirilli and Chandler Maurice, all driving in runs in the frame.

Ballistic got things moving in the first inning, when Zach Ganser grounded out, scoring one run.

Avalanche knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the third inning, when Maurice doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Chambers led the Ballistic to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out one and walking one.  

William Moore took the loss for  Avalanche. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and one run while walking zero.

 Hunter Stelter started the game for  Avalanche. He surrendered four runs on four hits over one inning, walking one

Dom Elia started the game for Ballistic. He surrendered four runs on four hits over two and a third innings, striking out three and walking one

Zach Livosky went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Avalanche in hits.

WHITING GIVES BALLISTIC THE BLUES

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs scored three runs right off the bat on Monday. Three runs were all they would need as their pitching held Ballistic Baseball to 2 runs. They got themselves out of a lot of trouble, as Ballistic had 10 hits on the night.

For Whiting’s offense, Chase Tomko went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. Ethan Bintrim mirrored those numbers going 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. Brandon Hink went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

Dustin Horn has a perfect day at the plate for Ballistic. He went 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Patrick Copple went 2-3. Koby Zupko collected the lone RBI for Ballistic.

Jake Vitale got the win for Whiting on the mound. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 1.

DURA EDGE SCORES LAST IN SHOOTOUT

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge got the last laugh on Sunday as a escaped a slugfest with Ballistic Baseball. Dura Edge scores twice in the bottom of the seventh to steal a 10-9 win.

Zack Leonard went 1-3 with a walk, a run scored, and 3 RBI in an impressive day at the plate. Braden Gebhardt went 2-3 with 2 RBI. Vince Armeni went 1-1 with 3 walks and 3 runs scored.

For Ballistic, Tanner Egli went 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Griffin Widrig went 1-4 with 2 RBI. Anthony Koulianos went 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI.

 

AVALANCHE USE EARLY RUNS TO BEAT BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH- All seven of Avalanche’s runs came in the first 4 innings. It was enough to withstand some late runs scored by Ballistic Baseball to secure a 7-6 win, even though Ballistic out hit them 10-4.

Collin Brainard went 1-2 for Avalanche with 2 RBI. Ethan Mannon went 1-2 with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI. Paxton Grimes went 1-3 with 2 RBI.

For Ballistic, Nick Vitale went 3-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Mike Earnan went 1-3 with a RBI. Dalton Curron went 3-3 with 2 runs scored.

Brainard got the win for Avalanche. He went 4 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 7 hits. He struck out a pair.

 

BALLISTIC GETS LAST LAUGH IN HIGH SCORING AFFAIR

STRUTHERS OH-

Bats were blistered as Ballistic Baseball defeated Youngstown Eagle Wear 11-7 on Saturday.

Eagle Wear opened up scoring in the first inning.  Caleb Saterfield’s wild pitch allowed one run to score.

Ballistic took the lead for good with ten runs in the third inning.  In the third Dom Elia drew a walk, scoring one run, Ryan Conti doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Thomas Pesa drew a walk, scoring one run, Tyler Wright singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, Marquis Reynolds singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Caleb Saterfield tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Elia singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Pessa drew a walk, scoring one run.

Zach Ganser earned the win for Ballistic. He went three innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out three.  Matt Kay threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Nathan May took the loss for Eaglewear He lasted two innings, allowing three hits and six runs while striking out two.

Elia went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ballistic in hits.

Eaglewear collected seven hits.  JD Memo and Dominick Ratkovich each managed multiple hits.
