BOBBEY SIGNS WITH ST. BONAVENTURE

POLAND, OH- Bulldog senior Brooke Bobbey has made it official, she will continue her academic and softball career at St Bonaventure.

Brooke is a three-sport athlete at Poland competing in soccer, basketball, and softball. Lettering in all three sports since freshman season. Since the 2018-2019 basketball season, Brooke’s teams have gone a combined 67-3-5. The softball team reached the state semifinals.

A three-year letter winner already in softball, Brooke excels on the diamond. In her junior season when the Bulldogs went to the state semifinals,  Bobbey hit .444 with an on base percentage of .511.  In addition in 95 plate appearances, Bobbey only stuck out 6 times. She finished the season with 41 runs scored. Brooke was second on the team in stolen bases with 13. In the field, she only committed 1 error all season. Brooke also gets it done in the classroom ranking 1 in her class sporting a 4.0 GPA.

NABF: BONNIE JAYS SWERVE PAST KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS, OH- Knightline dropped their final game of the NABF Senior World Series 8-6 to the Brooklyn Bonnie Jays.  Tom Pitko took the loss for Knightline, yielding five runs on ten hits in just over two innings of work.  Dante Jocelyn picked up the win for Brooklyn, allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings of work, striking out and walking three batters each.

Tylor Martinez recorded the save for the Bonnie Jays.  Colton Stoneman had two hits and two runs scored in the game for Knightline.  Tom Kling slugged two hits, scored a run and drove in a run.  Zach Yaskulka hit a two-run home run for Knightline.

Samuel Canela led all hitters with three hits for Brooklyn.  Mario Williams had two hits, two runs, and an RBI.  Martinez helped himself with a hit, a run and an RBI in the game.
