PROSPECTS KEEP THE SERIES GOING

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects  nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-2 victory over Roth Brothers on Thursday. Prospects were down 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning when Cobey Airwikie  singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Roth Brothers opened up scoring in the first inning, when CJ Frasco singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Prospects notched three runs in the seventh inning.  They scored their runs on a walk by Freddy Bolchalk.

Airwikie pitched Prospects to victory. He allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out eight.  

Logan Baxter took the loss for Roth Brothers. He allowed two hits and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Prospects totaled seven hits in the game.  Kris Hrosar and Caleb Hadley all managed multiple hits.  Hadley and Hrosar each collected two hits to lead.

Tyler Wardie led Roth Brothers with two hits in three at bats.

PROSPECTS PUT THE HURT ON AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects was victorious over Avalanche, 7-3

Avalanche took an early lead in the first inning.

In the top of the second inning, Prospects tied things up at two.  Donovan McCoy grounded out, scoring one run.

Prospects took the lead for good with one run in the third inning.  In the third Michael Condoleon doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Cobey Airwikie  was the winning pitcher for Prospects. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking zero.  

Hunter Stelter took the loss for Avalanche. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out one.

Caleb Hadley led Prospects with two hits in four at bats.

A2Z JUMP AHEAD EARLY TO BEAT PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH-

A2Z jumped out to an early lead over Prospects and took home a 7-3 victory on Wednesday.  A2Z scored on a stolen base by Aiden Thompson, a walk by Matt Paparodis, and a single by Joe Aey in the first inning.

A2Z earned the victory despite allowing Prospects to score three runs in the first inning.  Prospects big inning was driven by singles by Caleb Hadley and Mike Condolen and a groundout by Carter Knupp.

Carson Bish led things off on the hill for A2Z. He allowed three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out five.

Cobey Airwikie toed the rubber for Prospects.  He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero hits and three runs. 

Aey led A2Z with two hits in two at bats.

PROSPECTS GRAB LEAD LATE TO BEAT WHITING

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects defeated Whiting 9-6 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at six with Prospects batting in the bottom of the sixth when Kris Hrosar singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Prospects earned the victory despite allowing Whiting to score four runs in the first inning.  Whiting’s big inning was driven by singles by Grant Melder, Nate Thomas, Owen Keister, and Sam Patton.

Whiting got things started in the first inning.  Melder drove in one when he singled.

Carter Knupp took the win for Prospects. He went three innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out two.

Grayson Hooks took the loss for Whiting. He allowed six hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Prospects racked up 15 hits in the game.  Caleb Hadley, Michael Condoleon, Stephen Palmer, Knupp, and Ciminero all managed multiple hits.  Hadley led the way with three hits in four at bats.

Whiting racked up ten hits.  Thomas, Keister, and Melder each racked up multiple hits for Whiting.  Thomas went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead.

PROSPECTS FAST OFF THE JUMP

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects put up eight runs in the first on its way to a 10-3 victory over Eaglewear on Tuesday.  The big bats were led by Caleb Hadley, Cobey Airwikie, Michael Condoleon, Montgomery Hart, and Kris Hrosar, all driving in runs in the inning.

Prospects got on the board in the first inning when Hadley drew a walk, scoring one run.

Airwyke earned the win for Prospects. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one.

Sam Barber took the loss for Eaglewear. He surrendered four runs on three hits over four innings, striking out one and walking one.

Freddy Bolchalk went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Prospects in hits.
