BEAVERS LAY THE LUMBER IN EDISON

RICHMOND OH- The Beaver Local Defense wore the cape on Friday night, as they held Edison to just 35 total yards and sat back and watched their offense go to work on the Wildcats. The Beavers win their 4th game in a row in convincing fashion 48-0.

Tanner Johnston opened up the skies for the Beavers passing attack. He went 6-13 for 139 yards and 3 TDs. Beaver Local also gained 158 yards on the ground on 27 total carries. One of the many highlights of the game was Caleb White’s 59 yard touchdown catch off the throw from Johnston.

Edison struggles offensively. They carried the ball 46 times and only gained 35 yards.

Beaver Local will look to finish the regular season strong in Week 5 as they host a 4-1 Bellaire team. Edison will look to rebound as they host East Liverpool.

BEAVERS REMAIN DOMINANT

BEAVER OH- The Beavers continued their trail of dominance, as they picked up their second straight 49 point win and their 3rd straight W with a home win over the Minerva Lions at Pastore Field 56-7.

The scoring got started right out of the gate, literally. Senior Dylan Moore returned the opening kickoff for Beaver Local 82 yards to the house to open up the game. Things once again only got better for the Beavers. The following drive was capped off by a 33 yard TD pass to Sophomore QB Zane Kinsey. Minerva, after suffering 2 consecutive three and outs, had to start their next drive at their own 3 yard line. The Beavers capitalized big time, as on the first play Wyatt Loy made a tackle that resulted in a safety for the Beavers.

This made up for the failed 2 point conversion for the Beavers on the previous TD, and they would get the ball right back. Caleb White decided to get in on the kick return TD committee, as he took one to the house himself from 65 yards out. That made it 22-0. The Beavers then got the ball back with less that a 30 seconds to go in the opening quarter, and Tanner Johnston decided to hit the jets and outrun everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, on the Minerva defense as he took it 39 yards for the score.

From that point on, the Beavers got an interception from Dorian Jackson, which resulted in a 29 yard TD pass to Dylan Moore. They also got another 29 yard TD pass, this time to Caleb White to close out the first half at a 43-0 Beaver lead. They got two more rushing scores from the second string guys, one from Joe Monte and the other from Logan Blissenbach.

The Beavers allowed Minerva to score once in the second half, and won the game 56-7 to improve to 3-1 on the season, as Dylan Moore took home our G. Burbick Farms Player of the Game honors.

Beaver Local will travel to Edison to take on the Wildcats next week at 7:00 on Your Sports Network

BEAVERS MAKE LONG TRIP WORTH IT

BARNSVILLE OH-The Beavers took the hour and a half long road trip to Barnesville to take on the Shamrocks in hopes of winning their first game of the season, and they did just that.

Things started out slow for the Beavers, as they went down 9-0 after a TD and FG from the Shamrocks in the first quarter. The Beavers got themselves on the board with a 3 yard TD run from Caleb White to make it 9-7. Barnesville had an immediate answer 2 plays later with a 60-yard touchdown to Gage Hannahs, who found himself wide open, uncovered by the Beavers defense, to go up 15-7.

After some defensive stops by both teams, Beaver Local got the ball down 8 with 1:44 left in the first half. They pulled off the 2-minute drill to score before the half lead by senior QB Tanner Johnston, who connected with Logan Krulik for the 6, and then connected with Caleb White for the 2-point conversion, tying the game before the half.

The Beavers got the ball coming out of the half, and they made the most of it. They marched 54 yards down the field after getting great starting field position and scored in under 4 minutes. The drive ended with a Caleb White 2 yard TD run. The Beavers defense put up a brick wall from the 3rd quarter on, as Barnesville barely made it into plus territory in the second half. Tanner Johnston connected with Dylan Moore on the following drive for an instant impact 54-yard touchdown which was the first nail in the coffin for the Shamrocks. The final nail came in the form of a 31-yard touchdown pass to senior TE Nate Sprouse, making it 36-15, which would end up being the final score, as the Beavers get themselves up to .500.

They will debut their new turf next week in a Thursday matchup with Indian Creek. Kickoff at 7, pregame at 6:30 on YSN Beaver Local.
