CAMPBELL MAKES IT A SEASON SWEEP OF GARFIELD

GARRETTSVILLE OH- In a thrilling rematch, Campbell’s volleyball team emerged victorious over Garfield, securing their second win of the season against the G-Men. The four-set battle showcased the determination and skill of both teams, with final scores of 19-25, 25-21, 25-5, and 25-22.

Campbell’s success in this contest was punctuated by a stellar serving performance. MiLeena Williams led the charge with an impressive four aces, while Cyra Cross, Carla Ramirez Ortiz, and Elysia Rudolphi contributed three aces each. Their precise and powerful serves kept the pressure on Garfield throughout the match.

Campbell’s offensive firepower was on full display, with Kendall Brunn leading the charge with 14 kills. MiLeena Williams and Cyra Cross each added seven kills to the team’s impressive tally. Their ability to find the right angles and exploit openings in the defense was key to securing crucial points

MiLeena Williams also made her presence felt at the net with three crucial blocks. Her ability to disrupt Garfield’s attacks played a pivotal role in Campbell’s victory.

Carla Ramirez Ortiz orchestrated the team’s offense brilliantly, recording an impressive 33 assists. Her precise sets allowed her teammates to shine in the attacking department.

Defensively, Angeliz Diaz and Cyra Cross each recorded 13 digs, ensuring that Campbell could effectively counter Garfield’s offensive efforts. Their tenacity in the backcourt helped to stave off Garfield’s attempts to mount a comeback.

RED DEVILS TAKE CARE OF CLASSIC RIVAL

Campbell High School rekindled an old-school rivalry on the volleyball court and emerged victorious over Struthers in a thrilling four-set match. The final scores were 19-25, 25-16, 25-18, and 26-24, showcasing the intensity of the competition.

Both teams displayed their skills and determination throughout the match, making it an exciting contest for the fans. Campbell’s Angeliz Diaz and Elysia Rudolphi each contributed two aces, while the team’s offensive prowess was highlighted by Kendall Brunn’s 11 kills, Cyra Cross’s 10 kills, and Angeliz Diaz’s 7 kills.

MiLeena Williams led the blocking efforts with 6 blocks, followed by Kendall Brunn with 4 blocks and Carla Ramirez Ortiz with 3 blocks. Defensively, the team showcased their digging skills with Angeliz Diaz leading the way with 22 digs, closely followed by Cyra Cross with 20, Carla Ramirez Ortiz with 18, and Abigail Broz with 10.

Carla Ramirez Ortiz orchestrated the team’s plays effectively, providing 28 assists to her teammates, which played a crucial role in securing the victory for Campbell.

RED DEVILS BOUNCE RIGHT BACK

CAMPBELL OH- Campbell Memorial’s volleyball team reclaimed their winning form with a hard-fought victory over Liberty in a three-set thriller, demonstrating their resilience and determination on the court.

The first set set the tone for Campbell’s dominance as they secured a decisive 25-8 win, displaying their offensive firepower and strong defensive presence. This commanding performance put Liberty on the backfoot early in the match.

Liberty, however, fought back fiercely in the following set, pushing Campbell to the limit. The set ended with a tight scoreline of 26-24, but Campbell held their composure and determination, ultimately clinching the set.

The third set proved to be another closely contested battle, with both teams refusing to give in. Campbell managed to secure the set 25-23, illustrating their ability to thrive under pressure and close out a match.

Throughout the game, Campbell Memorial’s standout players showcased their skills. Kendall Brunn led the team with 12 kills, while MiLeena Williams contributed nine. The team’s blocking was led by Angeliz Diaz with two blocks, and Carla Ramirez Ortiz delivered 35 crucial assists. Cyra Cross, Gabby Villanueva Santos, Angeliz Diaz, and Jayda Coriano were instrumental in the defensive effort, recording significant dig totals.

CAMPBELL PUTS THE BULLDOGS ON A LEASH

CAMPBELL OH- In a highly competitive non-conference matchup, Campbell emerged victorious over Poland in four sets, with scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-17, and 25-14. The match showcased a strong and balanced effort from Campbell’s squad, with several players making significant contributions to the team’s success.

MiLeena Williams led the way in the service department with 3 aces, adding to her overall impact on the game. The offensive prowess was on full display, with Kendall Brunn recording an impressive 17 kills, while the freshman standout Elysia Rudolphi contributed 12 kills of her own. MiLeena Williams and Cyra Cross also played a crucial role in the offensive attack, each recording 10 kills. On the defensive front, Carla Ramirez Ortiz tallied 3 blocks, and MiLeena Williams added 2 blocks to her impressive stat line.

Carla Ramirez Ortiz’s precise setting was a key factor, as she recorded an impressive 47 assists, facilitating the team’s offense effectively. In the back row, a collective effort on the defensive end was led by Gabriela Villanueva Santos and Cyra Cross, each recording 18 digs. Angeliz Diaz and Jayda Coriano added 15 digs apiece, while MiLeena Williams contributed 10 more. Campbell’s well-rounded performance, both offensively and defensively, secured their victory in a hard-fought battle against Poland.

RED DEVILS COMING IN HOT

In a thrilling volleyball matchup, Campbell Memorial continued their winning streak with a dominant sweep of Brookfield. The final scores were 25-15, 25-17, and 25-11 in favor of the Red Devils.

Campbell’s players showcased their skills throughout the game. Alexa Clark and Carla Ramirez Ortiz both delivered powerful serves, each contributing three aces to their team’s success. Kendall Brunn led the offensive charge with an impressive 11 kills, closely followed by MiLeena Williams with 9 and Elysia Rudolphi with 6. Defensively, MiLeena Williams, Kendall Brunn, and Kaiya Coleman-Clark formed an impenetrable wall, each registering 2 blocks. Carla Ramirez Ortiz orchestrated the team’s offense brilliantly, tallying 26 assists. In the backcourt, Cyra Cross was a dig machine with 17 digs, while Gabby Villanueva Santos and MiLeena Williams each added 10 digs.

Brookfield put up a valiant effort, with standout performances from their players. Sarah Lindholm led her team’s defensive efforts with 6 digs, while Cailey Wellman and Leah Wlodarski contributed 7 and 8 digs, respectively. Rylie Burdge displayed excellent playmaking skills, recording 11 assists for her team, with Cailey Wellman adding 2 more. Cailey Wellman also proved to be a formidable force at the net with 9 blocks. On the offensive front, Cailey Wellman led the charge with an impressive 14 kills, closely followed by Sarah Lindholm with 12 and Ariana Jones with 9. Ariana Jones, Sarah Lindholm, and Leah Wlodarski contributed to the scoreboard with aces, with Ariana Jones delivering 2, and Sarah Lindholm and Leah Wlodarski each notching 1.

Despite Brookfield’s efforts, Campbell’s exceptional teamwork, strong serving, and powerful attacks secured them a convincing victory in this exciting volleyball clash, continuing their impressive winning streak.

CAMPBELL GETS A BIG WIN FOR THEIR PROGRAM

CAMPBELL OH- Campbell celebrated a historic victory as they swept Garfield in a thrilling match, marking their program’s first win over the G-Men as members of the MVAC conference, with sets ending at 25-16, 25-20, and 25-19.

The Campbell team showcased their collective talent and determination on the court. Freshmen Da’Janelle Will and Carla Ramirez Ortiz contributed with 2 aces each, setting the tone for their team. Kendall Bruno was a standout performer with an impressive 16 kills, while MiLeena Williams added 10 kills, Elysia Rudolphi contributed 6, and Angeliz Diaz recorded 5.

Defensively, Kendall Bruno, MiLeena Williams, and Angeliz Diaz all made their presence felt with 4 blocks each, highlighting their formidable net presence. Carla Ramirez Ortiz orchestrated the offense brilliantly, tallying 36 assists. In the backcourt, Angeliz Diaz led the team with 11 digs, supported by Cyra Cross with 10, Carla Ramirez Ortiz and Gabriela Villanueva Santos with 8 each.

Buoyed by this historic win, Campbell looks ahead with momentum to their next match at home against Champion on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Garfield will regroup as they return home to host Liberty, ready to bounce back from this encounter. This match exemplified Campbell’s determination and skill as they celebrated a significant milestone in their conference play.

RAIN GOES AWAY FOR A DEVILS WIN

CAMPBELL, OHIO – A big offensive night, good defense, and solid pitching is always a recipe for a win. Campbell mixed all of those ingredients together for a 13-2 win over Newton Falls on Wednesday.

After jumping out 1-0 in front in the bottom of the first inning on an Angelis Espada walk to bring in a run, Campbell led the entirety of the game. The Red Devils brought in three runs in the second inning and one in the fifth inning, Campbell flexed their muscles with an eight run frame. Ramani Adams, Mileena Williams, and Angeliz Diaz highlighted the explosive inning as they each drove in runs at the plate.

Diaz provided the lone homerun in the game for Campbell that came in the sixth inning. The offensive star of the game was Ortiz Ramirez went a perfect 4-for-4 with the bat to lead the charge offensively for Campbell. Two runs on six hits to go the seven inning distance with 12 strikeouts of Newton Falls batters was what Adams did to earn the win in the pitcher’s circle for the Red Devils.

The next scheduled game for Campbell comes on Thursday evening with a 5:00 p.m. matchup at Chaney.

RED DEVILS HAVE SOME SATURDAY FUN

CAMPBELL, OHIO- Mileena Williams showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in five on two hits to lead the Campbell Memorial Red Devils past Niles 11-5 on Saturday.

Williams drove in runs on a home run in the first, a double in the second, and a sacrifice fly in the fifth. An early lead helped propel the Red Devils to victory when they scored on a home run by Williams in the first inning, a double by Williams in the second inning, and a single by Savannah Cleland in the second inning.

The Red Devils pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning when Williams doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs and Cleland singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one. They later added four runs in the third inning as Bella Ornelas and Madison Shuger each had RBIs in the big inning.

Ornelas was the winning pitcher as she lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three. Jules Money led Niles with three hits in three at bats. Niles stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Aliana Corsale led the way with two.

Niles will try and get in the win column when Jefferson comes into town on Monday. Campbell Memorial will take on Newton Falls at home on Monday.

RED DEVILS STAY RED HOT

CAMPBELL, OHIO- Mileena Williams was in the zone on Thursday, tallying five hits and leading Campbell Memorial to a 22-6 win over Niles.

Campbell’s big inning was in the third when they scored eight runs. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Madison Shuger, Angeliz Diaz, Abby Broz, Mileesa Williams, and Mileena Williams.

Bella Ornelas pitched the Red Devils to victory as she allowed two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.  Ramani Adams threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Campbell will travel to Labrae on Friday to take on the Vikings at 5:00pm. Niles will try to pick up their first win of the season when they play East on Friday at 5:00pm.

CAMPBELL PULLS OFF COMEBACK FOR FIRST MVAC WIN

CAMPBELL OH- Memorial took the lead late and defeated Liberty 9-7 on Tuesday. The game was tied at seven with the Red Devils batting in the top of the eighth when Mileena Williams doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

The Red Devils collected 14 hits and Liberty had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Liberty got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run.

Memorial evened things up at seven in the top of the seventh inning. They scored two runs when Angeliz Diaz doubled.

The Red Devils tallied four runs in the seventh inning. Madison Shuger and Diaz each had RBIs in the big inning.

Liberty scored three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning came thanks to a single by Chloe Fleps and a double by Mia Parker.

Ramani Adams took the win for Red Devils. The fireballer lasted four innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out seven and walking zero.

Bella Ornelas started the game for Memorial. Ornelas surrendered five runs on six hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one

The Red Devils saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Adams, Diaz, Shuger, Savannah Cleland, and Williams each collected multiple hits. Adams went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

Fleps led Liberty with three hits in four at bats.
