SPRINGFIELD TIGERS FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 12) WITH SEAN GUERRIERO

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – Coming off an impressive round one victory, head coach Sean Guerriero and the Springfield Tigers are looking to keep their momentum going as they will advance to the second round. The Tigers hosted Monroeville last week and came away with a 35-21 victory. Up next for Springfield is a road test as they will travel to Mount Vernon to take on the #2 seed, Danville on Friday night.

POLAND BULLDOGS FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 8) WITH TOM PAVLANSKY

POLAND, OH – The Poland Bulldogs (9-1) are currently sitting in a great position to not only host multiple playoff games but also make a deep post season run. Last week, Poland took on a Girard in what turned out to be a thrilling 28-27 victory. The Bulldogs also wrapped up the #3 seed in Division IV Region 13. While being the three seed the Dogs will play host to the #14 East Liverpool Potters on Friday night.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie had the opportunity to sit down with Coach Pavlansky this week at Combine Brothers to discuss their playoff seed, what his takeaways were from the win last week over Girard, what Coach’s keys to victory are for round one against the Potters, and so much more.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – The Springfield Tigers and head coach Sean Guerriero are set up with a fantastic road for the state playoffs as they earned the seven seed. The Tigers are all about one game at a time but fans are starting to think long term for a playoff run. Up first for Springfield will be a home game as they will take on the Monroeville Eagles on Friday night.

POLAND BULLDOGS FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 7) WITH TOM PAVLANSKY

POLAND, OH – Head coach Tom Pavlansky and the Poland Bulldogs (8-1) are currently on a three game winning streak and poised to make a playoff push as we have reached week 10. Last week, Poland took on a talented Lakeview team but handled their business and came away with a convincing 28-0 victory. The Bulldogs are currently seeded at sixth in the rankings on JoeEitel.com in Division IV Region 13. If that ranking holds true, Poland will host a first round playoff game. Before that though, the Dogs will take the field at home in week ten against the Struthers Wildcats in what will be a great ending to the regular season.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – Head coach Sean Guerriero and the Springfield Tigers are on the verge of another MVAC title and a post season run. The Tigers, currently sitting at 7-2, are ranked fourth in the most recent rankings on JoeEitel.com. If it stays the Tigers will end up hosting a first round playoff game. Up first though is the final game of the regular season as Springfield will travel to Lowellville on Friday night to face off against the Rockets.

One such staff member, Zac Capan, has been around football for a very long time as he played college ball at Waynesburg and got into coaching. with Coach Pav at Lakeview and now to Poland.

CAMPBELL MEMORIAL LADY RED DEVILS VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 3) WITH TYLER ALLEN

CAMPBELL, OH – The Campbell Memorial Lady Red Devils and head coach Tyler Allen have put together quite a regular season this year. The Lady Red Devils just finished the regular season at 17-5 while going an impressive 10-4 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference. Not only did they finish with a solid record, they are also on a nine game winning streak. To go along with all of that team success, Campbell Memorial has also seen two players achieve career milestones as Carla Ramirez Ortiz surpassed 2000 career assists and Kendall Brunn surpassed 1000 career kills. Up next for the Lady Red Devils will be a first round playoff match up with the Liberty Leopards at home on October 17th.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – Head coach Sean Guerriero has the Springfield Tigers poised to make a big playoff push as the regular season begins to come to a close. The Tigers sit at 6-2 on the season and #4 in the most recent rankings on JoeEitel.com. Not only are the Tigers in a good spot for the playoffs, they are still playing solid football in the regular season as they defeated the Mineral Ridge Rams last week, 23-10. Up next for Springfield will be a road test as they will travel to McDonald this Friday night to take on the Blue Devils.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – Head coach John Matisi is eager to get back on the sidelines for another season of Springfield Lady Tigers basketball as they will look to rebound and continue their dominance after a state final four loss last year. Coach Matisi is coming off a 2022-2023 season that saw the Tigers go 24-4 with a loss to state championship runners up, Toledo Christian. This year however, Coach will look to replace a very talented senior class that took this program to the next level while looking to the future of the team as he will rely one some newcomers joining the returners.
