CREEKSIDE FORCES DECISIVE GAME 3

STRUTHERS OH-

Thursday was a long day for A2Z, falling to   Creekside Fitness 12-2.

Creekside pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning.  In the third Carson Bish induced Jacob Werner to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Sam Castronova drew a walk, scoring one run, Donovan Bell-sullivan doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, and Dylan Sheeley doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Castronova earned the victory on the hill for Creekside. He allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three.  

Bish took the loss for A2Z. He allowed three hits and four runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Aiden Thompson led A2Z with two hits in two at bats.  

Creekside collected ten hits on the day.  Werner, Tyson Tarajack, and Tyler Mikulin all managed multiple hits.

A2Z CARRIES HOT STREAK INTO POSTSEASON

STRUTHERS OH-

A2Z won game 1 against   Creekside Fitness on Wednesday,  6-2

A2Z put up three runs in the fourth inning.  Their offense in the inning was led by Matt Boccieri, Chris Denney, and Blake Jeffries, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Matt Paparodis was credited with the victory for A2Z. He surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out five.  

Alex Stowe took the loss for   Creekside. He surrendered two runs on two hits over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Aiden Thompson, Jeffries, Paparodis, Boccieri, and Braden Adams all had one hit to lead A2Z.

Donovan Bell-Sullivan led   Creekside Fitness 14U with two hits in two at bats.

BIG BATS COME OUT FOR DURA EDGE

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge and Creekside combined for 29 runs on Monday night in their regular season finale. Dura Edge got the last laugh in a 16-13 win.

Ryan Telesz was a big contributor in Dura Edge’s efforts going 2-5 with 3 RBI. Braden Gebhardt went 1-2 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Nate Rynd also had 2 RBI going 1-1.

For Creekside Johnny Leedham was one of the leading hitters  going 2-3 with 3 RBI. Jack Desmond went 1-1 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Kaiden Anthony had a monster day going 1-2 with 4 RBI.

Jack Beneigh was rewarded with the win on the bump. He went 2 innings allowing 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out a pair.

CREEKSIDE AND PROSPECTS DRAW EVEN

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside and Prospects couldn’t decide a winner on Sunday as they ended in a 5-5 tie. Prospects scored two runs in the 6th to tie things up.

For Creekside Johnny Leedham collected the team’s only RBI’s. He went 2-3 with 2 RBI. Jack Davis also had multiple hits going 2-3 with a run scored.

Brandon Popio had a good day swinging the stick for Prospects. He went 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI.

Hettrick pitched the bulk of the innings for Prospects. He threw 5 innings giving up 5 runs on 7 hits. He struck out 6.

Devin Gruver got the most work for Creekside. He went 3 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit.

CREEKSIDE USES EARLY LEAD TO PREVAIL OVER WHITING

STRUTHERS OH-

Whiting Roll-Offs fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-5 loss to Creekside on Sunday.  Creekside scored two on a single by Tyler Mikulin in the first inning.

Whiting  tallied three runs in the third inning.  Corbin Sevcik, Nate Thomas, and Owen Keister all drove in runs in the frame.

Creekside scored three runs in the seventh inning.  The big inning came thanks to a single by Jacob Werner and an error on a ball put in play by Mikulin.

Michael Patellis got the start for Creekside. He surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out five and walking one.

Grant Melder led things off on the hill for Whiting. He lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out one.  

Whiting totaled ten hits.  Thomas, Ben Miller, and Melder each racked up multiple hits.  Thomas went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Whiting in hits.

Creekside tallied 11 hits in the game.  Werner, Dylan Sheeley and Mikulin all managed multiple hits for.  Werner led Creekside with three hits in four at bats.

ASTRO FALCONS THROTTLE CREEKSIDE

Creekside watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 13-2 loss to Astro Falcons on Saturday.  The Falcons scored on a single by Jake Schneider in the first inning and a groundout by Kolten Ruark in the second inning.

Creekside struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Astro Falcons, giving up 13 runs.

The Falcons got things moving in the first inning.  Schneider singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Astro Falcons scored five runs in the fifth inning.  Schneider, Bo Fornataro,  Jaden Rishel, Shawn Kristophel, and Ruark each drove in runs during the inning.

Schneider earned the win for the Falcons. He went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four.  

Sam Castronova took the loss for   Creekside. He lasted four innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out one.

 Creekside had five hits in the game.  Tyson Tarajack and Michael Patellis each had multiple hits.  Patellis and Tarajack each collected two hits to lead.

Astro Falcons tallied 14 hits on the day.  Adam Gausman, Drew Kaschak, Rishel, and Schneider each racked up multiple hits.  Gausman led the Falcons with three hits in four at bats.

A2Z CONTINUES TO SHINE

STRUTHERS OH-

Both offenses were strong in A2Z’s 11-7 victory over Creekside .

In the first inning, Creekside got their offense started.  Tyson Tarajack singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, A2Z tied things up at five when Matt Boccieri doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

After Creekside scored one run in the top of the fifth, A2Z answered with one of their own.  Creekside scored when an error scored one run.  A2Z then answered when Carson Bish singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

A2Z pulled away for good with one run in the third inning.  In the third Matt Paparodis singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

A2Z notched five runs in the second inning.  They put the pressure on, led by singles by Paparodis, Braden Adams, and Danny Nittoli and a double by Boccieri.

Creekside scored three runs in the second inning.  Donovan Bell-Sullivan and Dylan Sheeley each drove in runs during the inning.

Parker Dobson earned the victory on the mound for A2Z. He surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out four.

Jacob Werner took the loss for Creekside. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while walking one.

A2Z had 16 hits in the game.  Chris Denney, Bish, Paparodis, Jeffries, Adams, and Nittoli all managed multiple hits.  Denney went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead A2Z in hits.  

Creekside racked up ten hits on the day.  Tarajack and Sheeley all managed multiple hits for Creekside.

CREEKSIDE HANDLES PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside had no issue with beating the Prospects 7-2 on Friday. Creekside scored 7 runs on 7 hits while Prospects scored 2 runs on 4 hits.

Johnny Leedham has a great day for Creekside going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI. Jayden Maggs went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Logan Cayavec went 1-3 with a RBI.

Jake Dohy went 1-3 for Prospects and picked up their lone RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-3 with a run scored.

Cayavec got the victory on the bump for Creekside. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 4 only using 70 pitches.

CREEKSIDE SWINGS BIG FOR THE WIN

Creekside won a contest against Whiting Roll-Offs on Thursday,  6-3

 Creekside Fitness got on the board in the first inning when Tyson Tarajack grounded out, scoring one run.

Creekside pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning.  In the third Michael Patellis doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Tarajack grounded out, scoring one run, and Mason Petridis grounded out, scoring one run.

Mason Petridis led Creekside to victory on the mound. He allowed one hit and zero runs over four and a third innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Connor Davis took the loss for Whiting. He allowed nine hits and six runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

 Tyler Mikulin started the game for   Creekside. He allowed six hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four

Creekside totaled nine hits.  Carmine White and Patellis each collected multiple hits.  Patellis and White each collected two hits to lead.

Whiting racked up seven hits on the day.  Grant Melder and Owen Keister all managed multiple hits.

SLUGFEST BETWEEN ROTH AND CREEKSIDE ENDS TIED

STRUTHERS OH-

A sacrifice fly in the sixth inning helped Roth Brothers battle to a 10-10 tie with  Creekside on Wednesday.

In the first inning,  Creekside got their offense started.  Jacob Werner drove in one when he singled.

Roth evened things up at ten in the bottom of the sixth inning when John Cambert’s sac fly scored one run.

Creekside scored one run in the top of the third, Roth answered with one of their own.  Creekside scored when Tj Richey’s sac fly scored one run. Roth Brothers then answered when Brendan Ray singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Roth saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Gabe Saunders, Ray, Dylan Casey, and CJ Frasco each collected multiple hits.  Saunders went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead.

  Creekside had nine hits in the game.  Tyler Mikulin, Donovan Bell-sullivan, and Dylan Sheeley all managed multiple hits.  Mikulin led with three hits in four at bats
