WARREN OH- Champion basketball is going to have a ton of new faces this season on the court. Graduating 8 seniors from a year ago, a lot of kids are going to have their opportunity to shine in those voids left by the seniors.  That isn’t always a bad thing, the Flashes carry a ton of talent in their ranks, and they still have a good amount of leadership ready to go. Head coach Dan Denman isn’t worried about the experience of his team as he spends the next few weeks getting them ready for the long winter.

Coach Denman was kind enough to spend some time on YSN’s Running Point (brought to you by Greenwood Chevrolet) to preview the upcoming season. WARREN OH- Sometimes the way you end a season can propel momentum into the next. The Champion boys team is hoping that is the case in 2021. After getting healthy as the year went on, the Flashes were playing really well the final month or so in the season. They return a lot of key members of that team as well. They will lean on those returning leaders to try and navigate what promises to be a high level of play in the MVAC.

Head Coach Dan Denman stopped by Running Point this week to give us a peak inside the boys program in Champion.
