COLUMBIANA GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH DAVE CRISMON

COLUMBIANA OH- The Columbiana Clippers are back and ready to build on an impressive 20-4 season that saw them finish tied atop the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference (EOAC) standings. With a strong core of returning players and high expectations, head coach Dave Crismon is gearing up for another competitive campaign.

Key returners for the Clippers include Ellie Venezia, who averaged 9.5 points per game last season and is expected to lead the offense. Evy Rapp, a reliable scorer with 7.2 points per game, adds another dynamic threat to the lineup. Ava Heinrich, who dished out 2.5 assists per game, will continue to facilitate the Clippers’ fast-paced attack.

The Clippers bring experience and depth to the court, qualities that will be critical as they aim to defend their spot at the top of the EOAC. Coach Crismon is focused on fine-tuning his team’s defense and maintaining their offensive efficiency as they prepare for a challenging schedule.

Columbiana opens the season on November 22nd with a road matchup against Springfield, a game that will test their readiness right out of the gate. With a blend of returning talent and championship aspirations, the Clippers are determined to make 2024 another banner year.

COLUMBIANA GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH DAVE CRISMON

COLUMBIANA OH- The Clippers girls basketball program is a proud one. You can easily see that when you walk in their gym and see the championship banners, and the amount of 1,000 point scorers their history has seen. Dave Crismon is trying to keep the tradition alive, and he has a lot of talent to work with. His team got a ton of valuable experience last season that proves to pay dividends in this new season. The EIAC will be tough that is for sure, but don’t think that the Clippers won’t be up for the task.

Dave Crismon was able to spend some time on YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about his team, and give us a solid preview of the season. He talks with Anthony Hartwig, and Ty Bartell about their out of conference schedule, who expects to lead the team, and much more. Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner with Dave Crismon is live.

LISBON SOFTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH DAVE CRISMON

LISBON OH- The Lisbon Blue Devils softball team are off to a fantastic start, especially inside the EOAC. The Blue Devils figure to be a real contender in the conference, and have the pieces to make a deep run in the postseason. Lisbon made an early statement in the EOAC this week with a dominating season sweep of United. The Eagles had score 39 runs in their young season heading into that series, but the Devils ended all that. Lisbon beat United by a combined 36-4. Lisbon now has to bounce back off a tough loss to Ursuline in their midweek non conference game.  Lisbon gets back in to league play with a two game stretch against East Palestine to open the week.

The head coach of the Blue Devils Dave Crismon was kind enough to dial in to YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about the Blue Devils season so far. He discusses his senior leaders, how deep his lineup is, and much more. The Lisbon community loves their softball, and now they have an exclusive inside look of the program with Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner with Dave Crismon.
