EAGLES STAY READY; LOCK DOWN LEETONIA

LIBERTY, OH- Valley Christian dominated under the lights at Liberty High School on Saturday night, rolling past Leetonia 46-6 to improve to 3-1 on the season. It was all Eagles from the start, with Ja’Sean Lindsey leading the charge on the ground and Deion Miller connecting on some big plays through the air.

Lindsey got things started with a 19-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, putting Valley on the board. A few minutes later, Miller hit Ahmire Dixon for a 25-yard touchdown strike, and after Jackson Bragg added the extra point, the Eagles were up 13-0.

The second quarter was more of the same, as Miller found Jerell Miles for a 65-yard bomb to make it 19-0. Lindsey wasn’t done, breaking loose for two more long TD runs—one from 50 yards and another from 30—stretching the lead to 33-0.

Alfred Cower capped off the dominant performance with a score after his own massive interception return, which set up the easy punch-in TD, making it 40-0. Leetonia managed to get on the board late in the game when Carson Brock connected with Ethan Mathia for a 6-yard TD pass, but it was too little, too late.

Lindsey capped off his night with a 65-yard touchdown run to bring his tally to four scores on 12 carries, racking up an eye-popping 262 yards. Miller was sharp as well, going 7 of 10 for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

For Leetonia, Carson Brock fought hard, completing 13 of 21 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t enough to slow down the Eagles.

Valley Christian now shifts focus to a big matchup against East Palestine next Friday, with both teams vying for the top spot in the EOAC. Meanwhile, Leetonia, still searching for their first win, will look to regroup and get back on track hosting Wellsville.
