CARTER PROVIDES BLUEPRINT FOR LIVERPOOL, POTTERS TOAST BUCKEYE LOCAL

RAYLAND, OH- You could say that Senior Runningback Derek Carter had “A Night,” but then you’d just be scratching the surface.  Carter and his Potter teammates got the Blue Train chugging back on the tracks against Buckeye Local to the tune of 49-8.

Carter must be a fan of mp3’s because he broke several records on Friday when he ran for 217 yards on 17 carries which crowned him as the school’s All-Time Leading Rusher with 2,251 (and counting.)  That wasn’t all though, on those carries, Carter scored 6 times to break the East Liverpool record for scores in a game.  Collectively, the Potters ran for 290 yards on the evening with Devin Toothman running for 44 yards in his own right.

Nick Woodyard would go 4-6 through the air for the Potters but would put together a highlight reel touchdown at the end of the first half.

With the victory, East Liverpool evens its record at 4-4 (3-1 in Buckeye 8) and turns its attention to Weir in Week 9.
