PROSPECTS SNEAK BY ROTH BROTHERS

Prospects ran off with the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Roth Brothers on Saturday.  Prospects trailed 7-6 in the top of the seventh inning when an error scored two runs.

Prospects built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Roth Brothers’s charge.  Roth Brothers scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a in the fourth, and in the sixth, a double by John Cambert in the sixth, a double by PJ Scott in the sixth, and a double by Dustin Smith in the sixth.

Prospects  got on the board in the first inning when CJ Frasco’s wild pitch allowed one run.

Prospects scored one run in the top of the fourth, Roth Brothers answered with one of their own.  Prospects scored when Nico Ciminero’s sac fly scored one run.

Michael Condoleon earned the victory on the hill for Prospects. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and striking out five.  

Frasco took the loss for Roth Brothers. He lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out three and walking zero.

Prospects totaled 11 hits.  Condoleon and Donovan McCoy all managed multiple hits.  McCoy and Condoleon each collected three hits to lead.

PROSPECTS PUT THE HURT ON AVALANCHE

Prospects was victorious over Avalanche, 7-3

Avalanche took an early lead in the first inning.

In the top of the second inning, Prospects tied things up at two.  Donovan McCoy grounded out, scoring one run.

Prospects took the lead for good with one run in the third inning.  In the third Michael Condoleon doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Cobey Airwikie  was the winning pitcher for Prospects. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking zero.  

Hunter Stelter took the loss for Avalanche. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out one.

Caleb Hadley led Prospects with two hits in four at bats.

PROSPECTS SHOOT OUT BALLISTIC

Prospects claimed a 12-3 victory on Sunday, despite a big push by Ballistic in the fifth inning.  Thomas Pesa and Dominic Elia all drove in runs in the frame.

Cobey Airwikie took the win for Prospects. He allowed two hits and zero runs over three and a third innings, striking out five and walking one.  Michael Condoleon, Stephen Palmer, and Nico Ciminero all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.  Ciminero recorded the last out to earn the save.

Elia took the loss for Ballistic. He went three innings, allowing ten runs on 12 hits and walking one.

Prospects racked up 16 hits in the game.  Donovan McCoy, Condoleon, Palmer, Carter Knupp, Anthony Marimpietri, Airwikie, and Montgomery Hart each racked up multiple hits.  McCoy led Prospects with three hits in three at bats.

PROSPECTS PICTURE PERFECT IN VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH

Prospects defeated CSA 7-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Stephen Palmer induced a fly out from Andrew Brown to finish off the game.

Prospects secured the victory thanks to four runs in the second inning.  Anthony Marimpietri, Kris Hrosar, Nico Ciminero, and Cobey Airwikie each had RBIs in the big inning.

Prospects opened up scoring in the first inning, when they scored one run on a stolen base.

Prospects scored four runs in the second inning.  Their offense in the inning was led by Marimpietri, Hrosar, Ciminero, and Airwyke, all driving in runs in the frame.

One bright spot for CSA was a double by Ethan  Feezle in the fourth inning.

Freddy Bolchalk was the winning pitcher for Prospects. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five and a third innings, striking out 11.  Palmer threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Palmer recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Youngstown Class B Prospect Pirates 14U 2020.

Noah Adamson took the loss for CSA. He allowed seven hits and six runs over four innings.

Donovan McCoy led Prospects with two hits in two at bats.  

Feezle went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead CSA.
