POLAND FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 6) WITH TOM PAVLANSKY

POLAND, OH- In an electrifying game on Friday night, the Poland Bulldogs, led by Head Coach Tom Pavlansky, claimed a much-needed victory over a formidable opponent, Niles. The Bulldogs showcased their prowess with a decisive performance, highlighting their determination to stay in the hunt in the NE8 race and secure their standing in the rankings.

Coach Pavlansky expressed immense pride in his team’s focused and relentless approach. “Our kids were ready to play the game, understanding what was at stake. Their preparation and effort were phenomenal,” he remarked. The coach also emphasized the importance of guaranteeing a non-losing season by clinching win number five.

One notable strategy that came to the forefront was the Bulldogs’ use of multiple running backs. Impressively, three different backs found the end zone, underscoring the depth and versatility of the team’s offensive lineup. “We have six or seven guys who we feel confident with the ball in their hands,” Pavlansky explained.

Defensively, the Bulldogs secured their third shutout of the season, a feat not easily achieved at any level. Highlighting individual contributions, Pavlansky praised senior Jace Fans’ pivotal plays, including a critical tackle on a kickoff return that likely prevented a Niles score.

Tradition remains an integral part of the Bulldogs’ culture. Following their shutout victory, the team celebrated with donuts, a well-earned treat for their collective efforts. Jason Fans, earning the first pick of the donuts, symbolized the team’s unity and shared success.

Looking ahead, the Bulldogs face a significant challenge against Gerard this Friday. “They are an extremely dangerous and well-coached team,” cautioned Pavlansky, acknowledging Gerard’s multifaceted offensive and defensive capabilities. Both communities have storied football histories and a strong commitment to excellence, promising an exciting and hard-fought match.

With their recent victory fueling their momentum, the Poland Bulldogs are determined to continue their winning ways and make their mark in the remainder of the season.
