16U: WHITING OWNS THE NIGHT, TACK UP 20 COMBINED RUNS ON OPPONENTS

STRUTHERS, OH- The Whiting Roll-Offs have found their stride and Monday night, they showed how dangerous they can be.  In a doubleheader, Whiting’s offense looked impressive to say the least.

In a crazy, wild game, it took the Whiting Roll-Offs ten innings to dispatch of Avalanche, but they finally did by a score of 10-6.  Gavin Mims pitched six scoreless innings in relief to earn the victory for Whiting.  Nicholas Plant suffered the loss for Avalanche, allowing the go-ahead runs to score in the tenth inning.
Caleb Lombardo led all hitters in the game with four hits for Whiting, scoring two runs and driving in another.  Ethan Bintrum slugged three hits, scored three times, and drove in two runs.  Vincent Sibeto had three hits, including an RBI triple, and scored a run while Tyler Kamerer contributed three hits of his own and also drove in three runs in the game.
Collin Brainard had two hits and a pair of RBI in the game for Avalanche.  Jenry Falcon hit a two-run double.

Whiting Roll-Offs 10 – 6 Avalanche (10 innings)
The Whiting Roll-Offs scored in bunches in every odd-numbered inning to make short work of Eagle Wear, winning by a score of 10-0.  Garrett Donaldson tossed a three-hit shutout to record the victory, striking out seven and walking three in the game.
Zach Luciano got saddled with the loss for Eagle Wear, giving up eight runs in just 2 1/3 innings.
Ethan Bintrum led the Whiting offense with three hits, including a double, and also scored three runs in the game.  Tyler Kamerer slugged a triple and a double, drove in four runs, and scored one of his own while Gavin Sims hit a pair of doubles and drove in a pair of runs.  Cre Calabria added a hit and two runs scored to the Whiting win.

18U: ROTH BROTHERS BLANK EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS, OH- Roth Brothers bounce back after their morning loss to beat Eagle Wear 10-0 on a beautiful 4th of July afternoon.  Colby Anderson recorded the win for Roth, tossing a two-hit shutout, striking out nine and not allowing a single walk.

Robbie Seitz got saddled with the loss for Eagle Wear, allowing all then runs to touch home.

Rocco Bernadino slugged three hits for Roth, including a double, and drove in four runs in the contest.  Marshall Whaler had three hits of his own, three RBI and two runs scored.  Christian Gabriel had an RBI triple among his two hits and scored twice while Jared Laczko added a pair of hits and a pair of runs scored to the winning cause.  Ryan Sullivan contributed two hits, a run and an RBI to the Roth offense.

Sam Ritchie banged out a double for Eagle Wear in the game.

16U: LOEW LIFTS EAGLE WEAR OVER AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS, OH- Eagle Wear held off a late Avalanche fury to win 6-5.  Larry Iagulli tossed a complete game in the win for Eagle Wear, allowing just two earned runs of the five scored on eight hits while striking out five and walking three.

Nicholas Plant suffered the loss for Avalanche, yielding four runs (two earned) in over four innings of work while striking out five and walking six on just two hits.

Joshua Loew lead Eagle Wear with a pair of hits, a run, and an RBI.  Ian Barton hit an RBI triple and scored a run while Ashton Dunbar added a hit, a run, and two RBI to the winning cause.

Collin Brainard banged out a pair of hits, including an RBI triple for Avalanche.  Jake Pappagallo slugged an RBI double in the game.

LITTLE B: HOOPER HAS 3 HITS, EAGLE WEAR STIFLES AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS, OH- Eagle Wear defeated Avalanche by a score of 4-2 in Class b play Friday evening.  Ian Barton pitched a complete game in the win for Eagle Wear, allowing just the two runs on a pair of hits while striking out twelve and walking three.

Jake Pappagallo got saddled with the loss for Avalanche, giving up four runs (only two earned) on three hits in four innings of work, while striking out seven and walking six.

Ryan Hooper led all hitters in the game with three hits, a run and an RBI for Eagle Wear.  Joe Roth drove in a run for Eagle Wear in the win.

Vinny Sciortino hit an RBI single in the contest for Avalanche.

16U: CREEKSIDE CLIPS EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS, OH- Creekside Fitness(12-5) defeated Eagle Wear(1-14) 15-3 Saturday night in Class b action.  Dashawn Guunter picked up the win for Creekside, yielding three runs on two hits in over four innings of work while striking out four and walking five.

Sam Campbell was saddled with the loss for Eagle Wear, allowing six runs to cross home in over three innings pitched.

Koby Zupko slugged three hits for Creekside, while driving in three runs and scoring two times himself. Dante Micaletti had three hits and two runs scored of his own while Patrick Copple banged out two hits, drove in three runs and touched home twice in the victory.  Brett Brown had two hits, including an RBI triple, and also scored two runs for Creekside. 

Ryan Hooper hit an RBI single and scored a run for Eagle Wear in the game.

18U: KNIGHTLINE BLANKS EAGLE WEAR TO GET BACK ON TRACK

STRUTHERS, OH- Knightline(6-6) opened the flood gates early and never looked back en route to an easy 11-0 victory over Eagle Wear(2-8) Wednesday evening in Class B play.

Jack Kartsonas picked up the win for Knightline, allowing just one hit in three shutout innings while striking out four and not walking a single batter.  Christian Johnston took the loss for Eagle Wear, surrendering all eleven runs in the game.

Colton Stoneman helped lead a balanced Knightline attack with a pair of hits, including an RBI double, and two runs scored in the game.  Trevor Strohmeyer had two hits and scored a run while Zach Yaskulka slugged a two-run double and touched home in the win.  Brett Bobin hit an RBI double and scored twice while both Travis Harvey and Kris Scandy added a hit, a run and two RBI to the victory.

Walter Sweeney and Caleb Quinn each had a hit for Eagle Wear in the game.

16U: DURA EDGE SCRAPES BY EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS, OH- Offense was at a premium until halfway through the game, but that’s where Dura Edge found their groove in a 4-2 victory over Eagle Wear on Friday.

Kyle Yost led the way with three hits, a stolen base, and an RBI, while Mike Galterio and Braden Gebhardt contributed with a pair of hits apiece, part of the 10-hit showing for Dura Edge.  Gebhardt also contributed a pair of runs batted in for the Edge.

Gebhardt also was credited for the victory in two innings of work on the mound in relief.  Sam Basso started the game for Dura Edge going five innings, giving up six hits, one run, a pair of walks while striking out seven.

For Eagle Wear, Blaine Barr was the tough-luck loser pitching an inning in relief, giving up a pair of runs on two hits.  Sam Campbell was the starter who put in 5 innings giving up eight hits, a walk, 2 runs, and striking out four.

Offensively Eagle Wear had 8 hits.  Ian Barton and Anthony Caruso had two hits apiece.  Joe Roth was 1 for 1 with a double, a walk and two runs scored.

18U: CREEKSIDE FLEXES PAST EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS, OH- Creekside’s Grant Metzger had a fantastic showing on Friday on the mound during an 8-1 victory over Eagle Wear.  Metzger kept hitters off-balanced while going the distance, striking out 11, scattering two hits, walking three which led to the only run of the game for the birds.

Leading the way offensively for Creekside were Nic Ottaviani, and Nate Stutz who had two RBI each.  Luke Stauffer and Metzger each contributed a run batted in as well.

Caleb Quinn was the pitcher of record for Eagle Wear.  Quinn gave up 8 hits, seven earned runs and struck out four batters in his outing.

Ricky Enlow was the offensive highlight for Eagle Wear with a triple and an RBI.
