WARRIORS ESCAPE TWINSBURG RALLY

In a thrilling offensive showdown, West Branch secured a dramatic walk-off victory against Twinsburg with a final score of 11-10.

West Branch’s offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Aaron Tucker’s impressive performance. Tucker went 4-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored, including the game-winning walk-off double. Beau Alazaus contributed three hits, driving in three runs and scoring once, while Gavin Bell also had a hot bat, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Hunter Shields added a hit, an RBI, and two runs scored, and Jaxon Robb chipped in with a hit and two RBIs.

NEWTON FALLS OH- In a thrilling matchup in Newton Falls, Heartland managed to come out on top with a narrow 4-3 victory over the home team.

Heartland’s offense was led by Jake Walker, who went 1-for-4 with an RBI, and Jack Morgan, who contributed a hit, an RBI, a walk, and a run scored. Drew Gault had a perfect day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and two walks, while Will Morgan added two hits and scored a run.

On the mound, Christian Hamilton pitched 5.1 solid innings for Heartland, allowing six hits and two earned runs while striking out two.

Newton Falls put up a fight with Ethan Powell leading the offense, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Owen Gazda also had a strong game, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and a walk, while Carter Rapczak added two hits of his own.

WARREN OH- Champion made quick work of Campbell in a league matchup, securing a dominant 10-0 victory in just five innings.

At the plate, Carson Fife led the charge for Champion with a 2-for-3 performance, driving in three runs and scoring once himself. Marky Nolan also contributed, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Shane Hixson added another RBI, going 1-for-2, while Zach Morris crossed the plate three times on his 2-for-4 outing.

On the mound, Fife was equally impressive, pitching a complete game shutout. In his five innings of work, he allowed just two hits while striking out an impressive 12 batters.

TOLEDO OH- Canfield faced a tough challenge on Saturday and emerged victorious with a 7-4 win over St. John Jesuit.

Dylan Mancini contributed with a 1-for-3 performance, driving in two runs and scoring once himself. Tanner Stricko went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a walk, and a run scored, while Zain Jadallah added another RBI and scored a run on his 1-for-4 outing.

On the mound, Klary McKay delivered a dominant performance, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing only one hit, and striking out six batters.

URSULINE MAKES IT A TWO WIN WEEKEND

CANFIELD OH- Ursuline wrapped up their successful run at the JoAnne Kernan Classic with another win, defeating Geneva 9-5 on Saturday.

The Ursuline offense came out strong, with multiple players making significant contributions. Arianna Schiavonne led the way, going 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored. Gia Schiavonne also had a solid performance, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Katie Koulianos added two RBIs, while Erika Pert and Lilly Ditz each scored two runs.

On the mound, Bella Zamaria started for Ursuline, pitching 3.0 innings and striking out six batters while allowing three earned runs. Lilly Ditz came in relief and pitched the remaining 4 innings, allowing four hits and no earned runs.

CANFIELD OH- Columbiana showed resilience and determination as they bounced back from a tough loss to sweep their doubleheader on Saturday, defeating Lakeview in a thrilling extra-innings game and then overpowering West Branch.

In the first game against Lakeview, Columbiana’s offense came alive with clutch hits and a walk-off victory. Caitlynn Pleska led the charge, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Mackenzi Gamble contributed with a 2-for-5 performance and two RBIs. Ella Dota played a crucial role, scoring the walk-off run on a fielder’s choice.
