GREEN AND HOLLOBAUGH SIGN ON TO CONTINUE CAREERS

WARREN OH- A pair of Warren JFK Eagles turned their commitments into signings on Friday as the officially put their names down to continue their athletic careers at the next level.

Cam Hollobaugh will be a two sport athlete at Walsh University. Hollobaugh signed on to not just play football, but also play baseball. Cam was part of the 2020 state runner up football team, and the 2021 district champion basketball team. He won Trumbull county player of the year in both sports. The first student athlete to complete that feat in over 30 years.  Cam was also named on the All- State team in both sports. He was also named defensive player of the year in football. Cam was also a member of the JFK National Honor Society.

Gabe Green has signed to play basketball at Tiffin University. Like Hollobaugh, Green was a key member of both the state runner up football team, and the district championship basketball teams this season. Green was named 1st team All County in basketball. Green was recognized as the JFK receiver of the year in 2020. Gabe plans on studying Digital Media and Design.

From all of us at YSN, we want to wish the best of luck to both Cam, and Gabe in their future endeavors. It has been an honor to be a small part of high school athletics career and look forward to hearing about your future successes.

ALWAYS BET ON SPACE CADET

WARREN, OH- Greatness comes in all shapes and forms.  For Warren JFK, much is said about the top-tier backfield on offense.  However, it’s the receivers who have kept defenses honest in coverage.  Just ask the teams left in JFK’s wake over the last few weeks.

If you don’t cover they outside, Kennedy will hurt you through the air.  The main weapon continues to be a multi-sport star, Gabe Green.  Green is known so well for his athleticism and shiftiness, but if GG gets in space, you may as well call the FAA, because Gabe Green has more jets than Southwest.

We (unlike many) caught up with the Eagle’s featured target this week to discuss the legacy of he and his classmates, his future plans, and the role models he carries on and off the field.

Sit back and enjoy the Warren JFK Player Profile: Always Bet on Space Cadet.

EAGLES BOW OUT OF REGIONALS AGAINST RICHMOND HEIGHTS

CANTON OH- Warren JFK watched their run in the tournament end on Tuesday night with a 60-47 loss to Richmond Heights.

The Eagles kept the game competitive in the first half, trailing by just five at the break. Out of the locker room the Spartans quickly jumped further ahead, pushing their lead to 40-23. The Eagles went over four minutes without a basket to open the second half. It all but doomed their chances against a very talented Spartans team.

Gabe Green led the Eagles with 19 points while Cam Hollobaugh added 14.

The Eagles end their season at 12-14.
