JOCELIN TIME

GIRARD OH- Girard has been a strong program in the volleyball scene for quite some time, and it looks like that will continue as time goes on. Girard is a young team, but one of the things that keeps the young players in line is the senior leadership they do have. The Indians have three seniors on the squad. The senior that patrols the front row is middle blocker Jocelin Teter. Jocelin’s strength is her blocking ability at the net, the young outside hitters have grown exceptionally in their blocking throughout the season because of Teter’s guidance and leadership. Her senior teammates lead from the back row, and she leads in the front.

In Jocelin’s career on varsity she has played 138 sets and has accounted for 75 blocks. That comes out to almost a block per set. She also swings well out of the middle. Teter has 109 total kills in her career. The biggest attribute she brings to the team is her ability to grow the players around her. When you look at the progression of net defense from the young outside hitters, it is clear that Teter has the ability to coach up her teammates. The growth of their young players couldn’t have come at a better time for the Indians program. It’s Jocelin time, just in time for Girard volleyball.

Jocelin sat down to talk to YSN’s own Anthony Hartwig. they discuss being a senior leader, personal goals for the season, and much more. Indian fans perk up your ears for this exclusive in depth interview. The latest Indian Volleyball Player Profile is live!
